I'll probably go on amazon and order a couple different ones this evening. Any particular wood I should go for? The one I've been using is just a blend of different woods.
Bear mountain is one I got off Amazon (I'm pretty sure) I really enjoy playing with different woods that arnt readily available in my area, like apple and cherry Those kinds of wood I probably would have never cooked with in my big stick burner
Have mentioned it a few times before, but I liked the Pit Boss competition blend pellets when I still had a pellet grill. Good flavor, cheap and could quickly get a bag if I needed to.
Costco has Traeger brand for 33 lbs for like $20. It comes to $0.60 a lb or so. I have gotten Webber pellets at Lowe’s on sale a couple times for around $0.50 a lb. Lumberjack Pellets are very highly rated and usually not too pricy but finding them locally can be a pain. Bear Mountain runs a special every now and then on pellets to order and it’s not a bad deal. Check their Instagram page for updates. My taste buds can’t really tell the difference so I just get cheap pellets a lot of the time.
I bought a literal ton of these pellets with a coworker from this place. Pleased with price, quality, and delivery communication. https://bbqpelletsonline.com/
Boneless short ribs on the minimax. Gonna try to rig up some ‘burnt ends’ and short rib tacos for dinner.
Looking to add to the gas grill and the smoker, I'd been looking at Weber kettles. Is there any reason I shouldn't go with a Recteq Bullseye? It appears to check a bunch of boxes but mainly the ability to sear and to do smaller smokes like wings, etc without firing up the Bradley.
Yea, texasraider just completely quit even opening any post ITT where I tagged him So the fun was gone
Haha I know. Nearly put them back 2 or 3 Times. Only thing available at Costco and I didn’t have time to hit multiple stores. Like I said, I’m not paying for it so I was ok. cooking for a former coworker and his family. It’s his dads birthday and I’ve cooked ribs and chicken for them for the last 4 or 5 years. A bit easier when working from home too
I feel like at the grocery store wings are a hell of a lot more expensive than that. Wings don't weigh much and aren't they typically like $4-5 for 10 or 12 wings? A dozen wings probably weigh less than a #.
Rehash time! Ordered a Weber Master Touch this morning. What accessories do I need and what is our consensus on best lump? Probably going to go to Ace to load up.
Sorry if this has been discussed but has anyone done a suckling pig on the egg before? Did you brine it? Any tips?
