Can't wait until they bring the Christine Rose to that new spot while all of the losers are dredging and bumping into each other at the old place.
I was wondering if that's what they're planning on doing. The inland mining dream of pops seems like a bad idea. I'm ready for the Gold Rush Season Premiere.
I assumed so when he asked how many OZ's per hour the Rose would get in relation to what they were doing
Lots of good mining still onshore around Nome (haven't watched the episode you're referencing, just in general)
Well those two seem to be able to fuck anything up. I'd stick to the Christine Rose and killing in offshore.
at the Kelly's getting robbed after the dad was basically robbing his kids last year. Grade A piece of shit.
Lol, what a joke... Hey, my buddy lended me this big ass screw thingy, out of no where, while my other shit sucked.
When does Bering Sea Gold come back? And Parker is starting to kill it in his new massive cut. Dude's clean ups have been insane.
Typically they have a better working relationship than what Parker has had, though to be fair there's not too many young mine bosses out there and the ones that are have been put there by their wealthy fathers, sometimes without putting in any grunt work beforehand.
There was an acquaintance of mine that was running a mine on daddy's checkbook and word is that after clean ups he would set aside gold for himself (massive amounts) and then report to the crew the lesser figure. Their wages were set up on a small hourly rate and then they all had a cut of the clean ups. Bunch of guys quit on him because of that. Though it's assumed that the entire operation is a way for his dad to funnel money off the regular books to the mining books and then once it's in gold form it's almost impossible to keep track of.
Just catching up on Gold Rush. Lol at Tony doubting Gene there. Back in the day dredges would spend years removing overburden before coming to an area to make it economically feasible and they were working with gold at $35/ozt back then
Todd provides great entertainment with his stupidity. That season in South America was great tv. Parker overworks his employees and seems to have poor management skills. Pretty obvious to me that this will soon bite him in the ass. Destroying relationships with everybody will eventually catch up with you.
I've really grown to dislike Todd over the years. Parker helped him a lot in the beginning but Todd has a massive hard on for him. Todd is more worried about beating Parker than he is about making money. He has twice the crew and spends twice as much on equipment and supplies and Parker still out produces him. Also bugs me that Todd never ever actually does any work. His dad does nothing but weigh gold. Just a waste of bodies.
Todd: "Let's bring in a 2nd wash plant and have the 2 biggest plants in the Alaska" Parker: "Let's just run this creekbed that we haven't tested" Todd: "Fuck my life..."
Seems like Parker's operation would cost a lot less than Todd's? If so the profit gap is much larger than 300oz.
Turns out my boss' cousin is the owner of what the show calls Tony's mine (Tamarack), Tony is just the foreman of it
I don't even know how Todd makes money. He has to have double the crew, double the equipment and way worse land.
Gold Rush Patriarch John Schnabel Dies at 96: 'He Was a True Legend' Gold Rush family patriarch John Schnabel has died at age 96. "We couldn't have asked for a better father, grandfather and overall family man," the Schnabel family tells PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. "He was a true legend and we appreciate all of your love and support as we celebrate his wonderful life." Schnabel purchased the Gold Nugget Mine in Porcupine Creek, Alaska nearly 30 years ago when at age 68 he faced a health crisis. Doctors told him that he needed to remain active after undergoing a triple bypass, and he saw the mine as a way to accomplish that as well as to have a place to take his family. He passed along his gold mining knowledge to grandsons Payson and Parker, who took over operations from Schnabel at age 16. Schnabel was born in 1920 to a Kansas wheat farmer, who fled to Alaska after U.S. Marshals came looking for him for brewing bootleg alcohol. At age 19, Schnabel joined his father on a sawmill in Haines, Alaska. A few years later in 1941, he volunteered to serve his country after the Pearl Harbor bombing, and he served in the Air Corps until 1946. After the war, he wed Erma Dire in 1950 and the couple had five children. Discovery is airing a special featuring Schnabel and his grandson Parker Friday at 9 p.m. The network is also honoring him with a memorial card on-air ahead of a two-hour Gold Rush event at 7 p.m. ET. Was pretty awesome at the end of the season. Dude went out feeling like a stud with Parker having a huge season.
Vernon is an idiot. How is he still in the game? It's been what, five years and he's still never gotten more than $10-20k in gold in a season?
Well yeah, it's dangerous and you have to live in Nome for a while. Regular mining is much better in just about every facet.
Is there anyway Todd makes money mining in Oregon? I am just watching the first episode and they are such a farce still. I love watching them fail
Yeah. The two brothers that run the mine told them they have to be apart of their team The whole thing is a complete joke. Watching it at work in my office, they wanted 30-40 ounces at their first cleanout and they get 4.
He spent 24 hours trying to pump out that water without even thinking if he needed to cut off the water intake into the pond. Then decides to flood the entire worksight when he couldn't get past the bedrock. Pretty obvious Monica is smarter than all the brothers.
the ending shows what happens through the year and Dave leaves and so does Freddy. This is going to be such a great year to watch haha. You would think after bombing in the amazon he would just play it safe. Nope going to fuck it up all over again
