That's what I've assumed. Has he had a good season yet on the show? I like watching Tony try to get the dredges up but the story line was awful this year with him not being able to get the second dredge up. I wish they would get another mining operation on there to give Parker some comp.
Premier was last night. Lol Tony and Parker’s run in after Parker started testing his new land was great. Also I’ll be devastated if Todd actually beats him.
Things I found out over the summer: Parker sent a dick pic to one of my friends. Didn't work out for him
Thats such a Parker thing to go in overly confident on his new property and hasn't even considered where he will get water from.
I died laughing when I saw the preview for that. Im going to watch the series today and tomorrow. I can't wait to see all the fuck ups
Next week isn’t the finale but they are doing a live episode where they are promising the biggest announcement in the history of the show. It definitely sounds like one of the miners is leaving. I can’t imagine it’ll be Parker and as much as Todd should leave, he’s such an attention whore I can’t see him leaving this behind. I’ll guess Tony is retiring.
I saw somewhere online that Dave is supposed be mining in Montana this year. I have to think he will be featured on the show if that is the case.
I love how they want to create tension with parker and rick ness. Rick has it made and knows how parker is.
Always get a kick out of how dirty the Hoffman weigh ins are. Meanwhile, Parker's gold is as clean and beautiful as can be.
They're all a bunch of jack offs, except for Hunter. For starters, he knows that his dad is a dumbass and a colossal fuckup, so he's got that going for him. He seems like he might actually know what he's doing.
They are doing another Parker’s Trail, this time with Parker looking for gold in Guyana. Something tells me he will do better than Todd. Also they said they were going to announce the new mine boss during the premier of Parker’s Trail. I doubt it’ll be Fred. I am guessing Dave but it could also be Freddy Dodge. Not sure if anyone else makes sense.
Just catching up on Bering Sea this year. They haven't showed Steve Pomrenke once in the first 6 episodes. Did him and Shawn get into it?
i wonder how much of it is real and how much of it is staged. Gold rush is my number 1 guilty please show. I absolutely love it.
I wonder the same thing. They are making Rick the new Todd by all the stupid decisions. Like how can you seriously not have a washplant set up for the season?!
I read some stuff on reddit. Basically, Parker is waiting for the ground to thaw more on tony's land and thus was clearing overburden on his on lease. All the water rights, flying home etc was scripted for drama. He didnt clear all tony's land last year to not mine it. im guessing the water issue will be resolved shorty after Tony's Ground is all mined up. Rick likely had the wash plant, bond, etc all set up they just needed some drama behind it now that todd is gone. I enjoy the show for what it is. I know the bullshit that happens isnt real, but most likely the gold is.
Say gold is at $1200/ozt. Say Parker has a 100 ozt clean out. They say he made $120,000. Well that’s just wrong. Depending upon the assay of the gold it is really somewhere between 65%-90% pure gold with a majority of the rest being silver. Let’s say his gold actually assay at 80%, that would mean his clean out was actually worth $96,000.
Spoiler: Research showing Parker always planned to mine Tonys land [ Forgive me if this does not work, first time attempting this http://ygsftp.gov.yk.ca/publications/yplacer/YPMI2015-17_web.pdf This one provides a summary of all Yukon placer mining operations. Tony is operation 78 on page 103. Parker is operation 83 on page 111. Note that " A 400 by 70 m (1,312 x 230 ft) stripping program was conducted 1.7 km downstream from the mouth of Wounded Moose Creek, on the left limit of the Indian River valley". So if they completed a stripping program in 2017 looks like they had every intention of returning to Tony`s land . http://ygsftp.gov.yk.ca/publications/yeg/yeg17/2_Placer Summary.pdf This one shows total placer gold production for the Yukon at about 70,000 crude ounces based on declared royalties. The other link as 220 mining operations. Even if we assume only 1/2 of them are actively mining (others are stripping and prepping for future years etc) Then 2 operations Tony and Parker accounted for almost 10,000 ounces last year or 1/7th of the declared production. That seems high Either Disco is manipulating gold counts, lots of the 220 operations are not declaring all their gold or Parker is one hell of a miner. It is an industry where probably not all gold is declared. when your product is essentially money, I am sure there is a temptation not to declare all your gold especially in that you can control when you sell it. I wonder if the Canada revenue Agency watches the show. Edit another link to the same report for 2010-2014 http://ygsftp.gov.yk.ca/publications/yplacer/YPMI_2010-14_web.pdf Parkers operation (under Tamarak is op 106 on page 93. Tony has both Eureka and paradise hill /SPOILER]
I could be wrong but Parker said he was going to mine Tony's land from the start he just wanted to change the royalties. Then when Tony said No. Parker was like fuck mining his ground Ill go do mine
he still wants to mine his own ground, however he also wasnt going to leave tony's ground that was producing. Tonys ground that he had cleared overburden already last year was still permafrost, so he went to clear his own land for a month. THe show just added in the feud between the two and stuff. After he mines tony ground he will be right back to his own ground.
Watching the first season of gold rush again, my god was Dorsey bad. So bad it was almost like he was planted by producers to have a fall guy/scapegoat. Dude couldn’t get anything right and was straight bullied by the rest of the crew.
