The mayo debate is stupid. The best chefs in the world believe in its various applications. I'll go with their opinions over a narrow-minded college kid's every time. Plus it tastes good.
I put Mayo on just about anything involving bread or a bun except a hot dog... I like ranch dressing with Wings.. That's about it.
i was going to Simmzy's, but decided to try it and not face the horror that is parking in manhattan beach. saw a which wich nearby and might eat there tomorrow night.
From The Habit, head west on Grand until you hit Main St. It'll be at the north end of downtown El Segundo. Could also eat at The Tavern on Main (bar), which is on the south side. That's probably my favorite meal in El Segundo.
i will have to try these out. i always want to try local places or at least chains i haven't seen before when i'm out here. gracias
Patface can you tell me about these places i was told about today, Philippe the Original Giorgio's Pizza Mattern Sausage & Deli
Phillippes makes a nice French dip sandwich. Get the bread double dipped. I like the lamb or pork one. On it's own the restaurant isn't that great, but it's an LA institution. The pie is great. Sawdust on the floor. Walk a few blocks away and go through Olivera street for tacos and margaritas and beer.
this settles it A&W burgers are better than whataburger, what do you have to say for yourselves texas
It's just an amazing burger place. They smash the burger flat so more surface area is seasoned and actually touches the grill. check it out... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEiyHCxqofg
They also have really good sides... The smash fries have like sea salt and rosemary or some shit on them. They are great. They have hay stack onion rings that are really good too. I havn't tried the chilli cheese fries but someone told me they were the best they had ever eaten.
what i like about smash burger is that they have different menus depending on their location. they have a cuban burger in miami with chorizo and chipotle mayo
Yep it's pretty awesome, I think there's a number of locations that sell beer as well. I always get the NJ burger- applewood smoked bacon, blue cheese crumbles, grilled onions, haystack onions, lettuce, tomato and mayo on an onion bun. It's pretty fucking good.
I havn't read this entire thread lately and I know there are a lot of mixed feelings on this place, but right up there with Smash Burger for me is a double chili cheese burger from the Varsity. Shit is great and only a couple bucks. Plus you can get in and out faster than Mcdonalds or any other fast food place most days.
had mighty fine a couple weekends ago, was pretty good but nothing special going to have whataburger soon, i had their breakfast tacos and they were pretty good
