Oh I guess next you’re gonna try to say Brit’s have bad taste buds, huh https://mix931fm.com/ed-sheeran-whataburger/
We had honey butter chicken biscuits and taquitos as the to-go food at my wedding in HTX. Sonic burgers > Whataburger The new franchise spots in GA aren't great either.
the honey butter biscuit is the only thing there I think is good. Patty melt is edible and there is nothing else I would even try (my wife’s loser family likes it and have been forced to eat it more than I like)
Sorry you have to live through the horror of occasionally eating whataburger you have been added to my prayer list
The Carl's Jr monster biscuit is great. You have to sleep like 2 hours after you eat it though, or it just like drags you through the day
I was just about to log off but my god this made me laugh. Idc if nobody else likes this post it was a great post and you should be proud
It's been a few years since I've had a 7/11 dog. I kind of miss them, but they're kind of just on the roller until they get bought. It was just how close to where I worked so I said fuck it
I used to get drunk and throw massive amounts of chili, neon cheese and pickles on two of those things and go to town
way overpriced fast food place that serves disgusting food is not doing great... In its first quarter, McDonald’s saw its worst year-over-year revenue drop since the height of the pandemic, as sales tumbled 3.6 percent for U.S. locations that have been open for at least 13 months. Visits from low- and middle-income consumers plunged by nearly 10 percent, chief executive Chris Kempczinski said last week. “People are just being more judicious about cutting back on visits,” Kempczinski said during a call with analysts. “We’re not immune to the volatility in the industry or the pressures that our consumers are facing.” The average price of a McDonald’s menu item increased 40 percent from 2019 to 2024, which the company says tracks with the rise in its costs. The cost of the company’s signature Big Mac sandwich rose 21 percent during that time, according to a company fact sheet, while the price of an Egg McMuffin and a 10-piece McNuggets Meal climbed 23 percent and 28 percent, respectively. The consumer price index rose almost 23 percent during the same period, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. McDonald’s price hikes have led competitors to question the chain’s value. In one notable example, Chili’s, which has thrived despite the struggling restaurant industry, promoted the burger on its $10.99 3 for Me menu as having “twice the beef of a Big Mac” and urged consumers in an advertisement last year to ditch the “tiny drive-through burger.” Chili’s was a bright spot this restaurant earnings season alongside Taco Bell, with the pair notching 32 percent and 9 percent same-store sales growth, respectively. Taco Bell’s lower exposure to beef inflation has helped it keep prices lower than competitors, Senatore said. The chain’s value menu and new products have also helped it gain market share, she added. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2025/05/09/mcdonalds-value-restaurants/
Fast food is disgustingly overpriced across the board but McDonald's seems like one of the worst offenders.
I think the franchises have a big say in the prices. You can get 2 breakfast sandwiches for ~5$ at the one near me. When i do go there, I usually just get a shitty iced coffee on my way to work though
i get mcdonald's iced coffee all the time, it's great value dont think i've gotten real food from there in years
It is great value. You can suck it down pretty quick and be ready for the morning. I always decline the liquid sugar though because it's so strong
Wanted to go to Culver’s a week ago. It was slammed so went to Wendy’s across the street. Got the kid a baconator single combo and I got just the chicken wrap…..$22.
I use the app and I get one daily for 99 cents. No cream and no liquid sugar. No flavor either just like the good lord intended.
I think the industry realized that a lot of consumers were willing to pay an even higher premium for convenience than previously believed and they continued to hike and hike prices to take advantage of that, and we’re finally seeing the breaking point.
