I have been to Whataburger over 20 times. All but 3 of those times were in Texas. All but 2 of those times I ordered a hamburger. I have yet to have a hamburger from there that was higher quality than Wendy's or Carl's Jr/Hardees. I keep trying hamburgers from Whataburger because my wife(and all other Texans) says they are great. And I keep being extremely disappointed that I spent more than $2 for any of their burgers.
I don't really care for Wendy's. When I eat there I usually just get the .99 burger or chicken nuggets because they are cheap.

Not a fan of Fatburger. For what you pay for, you can't beat Inn n Out. Part of the attraction I think is that it's a relatively cheap price (~$4.50-6) for an exceptional burger, fries and a drink, although the fries are admittedly average. Awesome shakes. Five Guys I like. Twice the price (and size), but then, no one can eat the same burger again and again. It's a good alternative.
Never can understand the love for Whataburger, each time I've had it it has been no different than Wendys.
Mojo's in Greenville, SC is the best i've ever had fast-food(no drive-thru) wise. my roommate is from texas and hails whataburger as the best burger ever created by man for fast food. i've never had it, and from the pics i've seen, it looks weak. hardees/wendy's best fast food with drive thru imo. tendercrisp chicken bacon ranch from bk is the goat sandwich tho. so fucking yum

Whataburger sucks. It really is a Texas thing to where they are not exposed to good beef. So they dont know a good piece of over processed beef when they see one. With me being in Iowa we are spoiled. Ive had Five Guys. Ive had Whatashittyoverratedburger. Ive had Culvers, Wendys, BK, McDonalds, and Hardees/Carls. I gotta tip my non-flatbill hat to Hardees/Carls..I go for the "Six Dollar Burger" everytime but have ro tell those heathens to go easy on the ketchup/mustard. The best burger that Ive ever had and paid for was at the ESPN Sports Zone at NYNY in Vegas. Fucking awesome.

Guys I read this study where they spent a lot of money studying taste buds and beef and toasted buns and produce and it was very official and they said whataburger was "the best tasting" burger in America. A side study also showed that homosexuals and angry dudes with small penises described whataburger as "overrated". Was an interesting read.
