Pulling pretty hard for Nacho to make it out.
That last scene with Kim was something else
Gus's spydie sense kicking in, and then Hector smiling at him.
Why did lalo have to kill those people where he got the coffee?
he used the husband to be his fake corpse. That’s why he had his dentist do work on him and then made him shave
The cousins examining the body was one of the few times I recall seeing them shook.
Ya, though it was quite the choice for them to show emotion
Familia es todo
Craig Kettleman getting denied his cup of coffee. A story as old as time.
Man Lalo keeping a guy around with matching dental work for a rainy day, is some next level shit.
Betsy and Kim are very similar right now. Both pushing their man around calling all the shots. Kim is just a lot smarter than ol chesty Betsy.
Kettleman Kleavage is real
Maybe I’m reading into it too much, but the vibe of the show as a whole felt different to me last night.
Episode 2 was a BB show, though it was Vince directing
Both Seehorn and Esposito are directing later in the season too
Man. After watching other shows, you just appreciate the thought and effort that goes into this.
The little things like setting up a camera behind the p trap under the sink for a whole 3 second shot is just next level compared to 99% of tv.
And the actor for Craig is just so good at playing that character
Well it felt pretty similar to late season 5 imo. but its getting darker. hard not to when Kim is going off the damn rails.
The acting on this show is just so fucking nuts. Rhea Seehorn is so subtle its hard to imagine it being as effective as it is, but she lands everything to the point of “I know what she’s thinking, i know what shes up to. Or do i?”
She’s totally gonna fuck over Saul
She is. idk if you read my posts from last night.
I didn’t agree until we saw her stare at the stack of hundreds Saul put in his jacket :(
Thats fair. I could still be wrong, but her actions last night didnt make me think differently.
To expand on my thought. I dont think she wants cartel money. she wants to leave with the sandpiper money since those are obviously clean.
Why did the AMC+ commercial say final season under the walking dead, but new season under BCS?
WHAT ARE THEY SAYING!?!
Have it recorded..is there a season 1-5 recap somewhere besides doing a rewatch?
She looks at the Sandpiper $ as her con, not Jimmy's. Plus, Howard is in her crosshairs.
I think Kim is in prison or witness protection
Why did Gus lead Bolsa to the motel?
Yea i’m sure thats true. But i think she cons Jimmy out of the sandpiper money too.
I dont think she’s in prison. I think Jimmy would spend every waking second and his energy on helping her. She’ll burn him badly and i think she gets away with it. Betrayal from the woman he loves more than anything will be the worst form of closure he can get.
I cant think of a way with the Jimmy we see now (rethinking his ways, trying to do good and not go too far) go all in saul if Kim goes to prison, that would most likely make him rethink shit more not less.
Thats my guess.
Just heard this discussed on a podcast, who was driving the car tailing Jimmy and Kim at the end of Carrot and Stick when they leave the Kettleman's tax place? Is it crazy to think that it could be Lalo?
I don’t think Lalo would have connected those dots that quickly.
Looked like Mike's car, didn't it?
I thought that for a second but it wasn’t once they pulled out. Mike had a Chrysler and the follow car is like an 85 caprice.
preview spoiler about the car. not a sure thing but thats what i read on reddit.
people are saying its most likely Hamlins PI’s car
This fucking show. I think the fact that we know where it ends up makes it even more wild to speculate.
I'm totally blanking on this part of the story
He is at chucks house when Jimmy breaks in and destroys the tape in season 3. he and Howard are Chucks witnesses
well Kim, Nacho and Lalo are still wildcards, but i agree with you. It’s like a “how will they tie everything together” type deal.
No mention of Kim in BB and Saul is terrified of Lalo and Nacho when he meets Walt and Jesse.
Yes. not a lot to go off of.
bc he wants the Salamancas to kill Nacho and tie up loose ends. He made it look like nacho got paid from a bank in Peru, pointing the cartel in the direction of the Columbians for the hit. That’s my guess anyways.
Howard’s PI imo
That’s what I thought but the whole taking Nacho alive had to cross Gus’ mind and an enormous risk
Adding the motel number in that made no sense
The former AV Club writer who covered both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul from the beginning is now writing (after the AV Club got rid of basically everyone) for this site:
Much better recap than anything else I've seen.
He assumed the hitmen would kill Lalo. If they did he wouldnt have that problem. He’s not exactly close to Nacho and he’s in Salamanca territory.
It makes sense. he made a flawed plan. it happens.
I think this episode shows out that Gus is not perfect and that he needs Mike as a right hand man to discuss plans with. ala breaking bad.
Just seems like Nacho potentially getting captured is doomsday scenario and Gus is too smart for that
I’m done and will get over this small bit I disagree with
They also set up nacho in the hotel with guys keeping watch with no intention of getting him out of there alive. He was expendable and a liability to Gus once he thought Lalo was dead. Nacho opens his mouth to Eladio and Gus is probably dead. The part that confused me most was that Mike placed that letter. Maybe he didn’t know what was in it. Also a very elaborate job just to place one clue. Swiping the dad’s Canadian ID gives me a little hope that Mike gets nacho out.
Afaik Mike didn’t know about the extractor in BB, so he doesn’t get him out that way.
