Counter point- while we are still dogshit in football, Rutgers has become proficient to good in just about every other sport (still dogshit in volleyball). Men’s basketball team has made the tourney 2 straight years (first time since early 90s), baseball ranked in top 25 for the first time I’m aware of, nationally ranked wrestling with program’s first 2 national champs, me’s lacrosse perennially ranked, women’s soccer and field hockey winning conference titles and competing nationally. Doubtful any of that happens if we’re still in the AAC. Money matters. Edit: almost forgot men’s soccer. Finished 2nd in conference this year and qualified for tourney for first time in 7 years.
Yes, but the #Michigan Wolverines get 1/2 of the money that rightfully belongs to the #Nebraska Cornhuskers even though nobody thinks they really earned it.
I've always liked Dan Patrick, but I can't remember the last time he was actually right on any of these breaking news things, especially with college expansion stuff.
That would be such an odd move for the Pac 12-2. Admittedly I don’t know what else they do for expansion, but San Diego State?
Will the Big 12 expand further? Details have emerged on the inner workings of Big 12 expansion. While it's no secret Yormark wouldn't mind expanding beyond 12 teams, Big 12 partner ESPN has agreed to pay pro rata (equal value to existing teams) should the Big 12 add members, CBS Sports has confirmed. Meanwhile, the league's other partner, Fox, has not made such an agreement. I know there was some debate on that earlier in the thread.
Why is this in the realignment thread? We don’t need to catch strays here. I sent this same factoid to our TMB college fantasy league chat earlier today, though. Eat Arby’s.
awesome, looking forward to walking my dad through how to watch games on Netflix. It was so much fun doing it for nfl on prime a few weeks back, I’m glad I get to do it again
