Is this b/c Michigan/Fox gets the coverage and the money vs Texas/SEC or Texas/B12 if forced to stay?
I just hope the remaining 8 Big 12 schools remind everyone from the PAC and soon to be ACC that comes crawling of their partnership to try and kill the Big 12.
I was just wondering how the B1G is going to approach all this happening so quickly without a commissioner in place.
I would assume if you can't get Oregon and Washington now you take everyone else and force them. They can't go indy.
I feel like their feelings on Washington and Oregon would change if they were forced to make a decision. I’m still not fully convinced they aren’t trying to get UCLA and USC parters out west.
the harsh reality seems to be that the tv networks do not value Pac programs outside USC and UCLA for much more than the late night time slot content they provide. Oregon and Washington are worth the most, but it doesn’t seem to be enough to bring the B1G’s per team average up, at least not yet
and if espn and fox can get those time slots cheaper through the big 12 then that is what they’ll do.
The B1G should drop a couple bottom feeders to accommodate, it’s the only way to get the average up. That or add notes dame
eventually it heads here, when they can’t add schools to increase revenue, they’ll drop others. that’s when this stuff becomes really unnecessarily cruel
we already have the bigger utah school do we really need the other they are gonna run out of water in 10 years anyway
You’d think that if it meant so much more maybe the teams would be willing to travel a little farther.
Greg taking a unhealthy dose of Copium dealing with the fact that he got Texas and Oklahoma and now they both suck at football before they officially arrive in the SEC.
I dunno I’m pumped that for the next 20 years it’s likely that mizzou will end that run with more SEC championship appearances than Texas
It’s gonna feel like a weight off to finally be rid of these middle of the pack football programs. They can go wave the stars and bars freely now with nothing holding them back.
Been rough for that state the last 50 years with just 1 title…then to get their first cfp team and 65-7 happens to them. If youre going to mediocre you might as well get paid more to do it.
