Can you add Iowa State to your fan of section so you show up when I click on #Iowa State Cyclones ? IStateLion could use a friend.
And the conference realignment discussion no-hitter gets broken up late in the offseason's 7th inning.
Texas and OU to the SEC. Guys that’s what I want. #Alabama Crimson Tide #Auburn Tigers I’m gonna have to ask y’all to head over to the east, thanks.
Adding Kansas to the Big Ten will go a long way in ensuring B1G continually never wins the basketball national championship. Baylor to the ACC will bring the two of the three biggest scandal ridden schools in one conference And those four schools to the Pac 12 continues the conference's streak of irrelevance
Kansas has just three national championships in its history, and only one since 1988. The Big Ten has won just one national championship since the 90s.
It’d be naive to think if Texas and Oklahoma came into the conference the game would never move from Atlanta
we can have this conversation when a former B12 team eventually starts to compete for a division title.
No it’s not. The SEC football championship game isn’t going to leave Atlanta. I couldn’t be more confident in that statement.
Well, yeah, it's easy to be confident in that since theres no way in hell Texas and OU are coming to the SEC
Even without them if Jacksonville, New Orleans or Nashville decide they want to build a new stadium and play ball with the SEC they could get the game. If you put Texas and Oklahoma enter the picture that puts Jerry World and maybe Houston in the mix.
I'll never fully understand the mind set of Texas fans who want to join the SEC so badly. I see the arguments of more money to be made and better recruiting but really how much more money will be made and other than bama and Ohio state, who really constantly recruits better than Texas? Clemson? Maybe UGA? I can't imagine UT having more success in the SEC when it comes to wins and loses. You lose getting to play Iowa state, KU, tech, and Baylor every year, which should be automatic W's. What am I missing?
They are the big fish in a smallish pond which they obviously enjoy but also like to pretend that they're better than the Big 12. Texas to the SEC would be a terrific disaster.
That would certainly work but you’ve got Jerry jones and Artie blank with the two premiere stadiums in the entire world. I think they would win out
We have two traditional rivals in the sec and the LSU game would be massive in this region. The OU game is the only game that really gets us going in the Big 12. Nebraska used to fit that bill but the league right now just isn’t that interesting for most of our fans.
And I get that but how long would the "fun atmospheres and road trips" be worth it if UT is losing 2 more games on average a season?
I’d only want it if the playoff was expanded. But if the playoff is 8 teams, we wouldn’t be in any worse shape to make the playoff than we are now, and our recruiting will definitely improve.
