Bike Fest in Bentonville at Coler Mtb preserve. I didn’t have any expectations & was just doing it to get the experience. There were 10 courses (2 of them got closed bc of weather) spread across coler. It’s an all out sprint in between each gate and semi relaxed pedaling to the start of each position. I think it would’ve been more relaxed with better weather but it was raining nonstop the whole time + we were all racing to finish before lightning called us off.

I’m definitely getting better at riding just because I try to go riding every other day when the weather permits. Additionally, there is I ridiculous amount of stuff to ride here in BV.

That said, I need to start incorporating some drill work into my routine so I have more spacial control of the bike when riding through technical terrain.

Incredible. Nice work. I’m an intermediate mtber at best so that sounds outstanding. I’ve heard Bentonville is the tits.

Yeah that’d be great. Ive been strongly considering getting a XC mtb as I want something I can do long distances on. Still have a ways to go before I am in the shape I’d like to be in. Will get exponentially easier once I’m able to carve out a better work life balance.

got in a verbal spat this AM biking into work. I safely crossed thru an intersection via a bike lane on a red light when traffic was clear in every direction. When I got to the next red light, I stopped at a red light because traffic wasn't clear. Car traffic caught up from behind me and one guy yelled something about running red lights. Told him to google it, also called him a dork for some reason.

I love these kind of interactions. I usually just wear a shit-eating grin while the person exercises their indignation. Ride that high. I love it when my happy cycling ruins a disgruntled motorist's day

yep. I relish that my commute took the same amount of time today as it always does. never have to deal with traffic or congestion in my bike lane. that guy was likely boiling in his car and mad about the traffic and world around him. gave me a good chuckle to hear him yell out of his Kia Sorento

I was in Unbound Gravel 100 a couple weekends ago. Brutal, but I finished. Great experience!

Finished the Solstice Gravel Grinder in Nebraska today. Organizers reduced it to 70 miles from 100. Super hot and windy to a sinister degree around here.

I’ve had DNFs before that I quit with less suffering than I had today. Pretty much bonked and lost all my power but kept going. Feeling very proud of my effort.

Strava told me my relative effort was above 1000 which is a first for me.
