He’s probably a bad dude and has been given every opportunity life can afford someone, but he also seems to pretty seriously battle addiction and has for some time.
Hunter can’t have had an easy life. It’s often discussed how much tragedy Joe has gone through in his life, and how graciously he has dealt with it. Hunter has dealt with the same tragedy, but from a different, and likely more vulnerable, perspective. He seems to struggle with some real demons. He also blamed himself for his dad deciding not to run the first time. I’d imagine he’s always benefitted from being a Biden while also struggled to be one.
I have no clue what it's like but I assume there's a pretty big burden on you when your dad won a Senate election before he was 30 and has wanted to be president ever since
Mental health issues don’t disappear because you’re rich or come from a “good” family. He seems to have some real demons.
He's also a failson, and his father has done a ton of terrible shit including helping to tear down things that could potentially help people just like Hunter. The difference Hunter has money to fall back on those people don't. Like I said, lets not turn him into a sympathetic figure because he isn't
I imagine you as Samuel Jackson, just yelling at everyone/anyone and being a cunt to all who dare cross your path, at all times of the day.
100% in agreement with Cane. He's definitely battling and gone through some shit, but it is very hard to feel sympathetic for someone who has had immense privilege.
The guy lost his mother as a child and then a brother to brain cancer. All the money in the world doesn’t make losing someone you love any easier. You can feel empathy for the guy and the trauma he’s faced while acknowledging he’s come from a well off family and incredibly privileged
It’s amazing though.. the same dudes in here calling out War Grundle for saying DMX brought his drug and legal issues onto himself aren’t able to acknowledge Hunter Biden has dealt with personal trauma that could’ve led to him abusing drugs to mask that pain.
Anyone that watched HBO’s smash hit Ballers and doesn’t want the mind that brought you that running this country is pretty crazy, imo.
The premise of the Rock's show "Young Rock" is that Dwayne Johnson is explaining his childhood as he runs for president in 2032. There is just a show on NBC that is priming people to elect the Rock president. Wild.
Try again, I never posted in the fucking DMX thread. So you gonna tag them or whine about these imaginary posters?
Biden passing an infrastructure bill that really rips out all the lead in the country would have transformative effects but they won't manifest for awhile. So you can't really run on how big a deal that would be, as people's eyes would just glazing over because of all the lead that was knocking about when they were kids made them dumber and more prone to violence.
They can easily say something if they’re so offended. I’ll keep whining and you can keep up your faux outrage about anything and everything.
The Rock can't be governor of California let a lone president until he makes a movie better than True Lies. I'm not even asking the Rock to beat Predator, Total Recall, or the first two Terminators. I'm open to having the discussion about Commando vs Fast Five, but the Rock isn't the lead of Fast Five, he was joining a franchise. And I'd rather watch Commando.
If it came down to a Dave Bautista and Dwayne Johnson showdown in the primary on super Tuesday, I'm pulling the lever for Bautista 9 times out of 9. Bautista is in better movies and actually doesn't hide his political views.
Well last time we had an “outsider” as president things went swimmingly so count me in on president Joe Rogan I mean the Rock I mean wait is the rock co-opting joe Rogan’s persona? bald, musclebound, Fanny packs, alcohol drinker (cool!), and I’m sure good old fashioned common sense and hard work! Also the NY post article is most offensive for introducing the Rock as “Jumanji Actor.” What fucking 6 years olds didn’t know who he was until his jumanji remake came out?
I wonder how keen Dems are on removing other parts of the jobs bill to get those critical infrastructure parts passed and started.
