Harry Truman did integrate the US military. Truman is literally, the only person to have been president of the United States that didn't seek the role. Truman's life is bizarre. He was exclude from the corruption of Missouri politics, because the political crime boss didn't think he'd take the money and liked having him around as the straight man.
