When you look at gun deaths, bankruptcy by illness, restricted/suppressed voting rights, insurrections, power not transferring peacefully for elections, farcical impeachment/oversight by legislature, racism alive and well, etc., I'd have to say we are not.

For those who have done more reading on filibuster reform than I have, is a complete repeal of the filibuster the only option, or is it within reason to lower the threshold to say 54 votes in the senate? To me that would actually empower the few centrists on each side Lyrtch ?
Plenty of options; it’s just Senate rules, they’re all made up. A no brainer one that, if all else fails, wouldn’t even change current thresholds would be to make it incumbent upon those filibustering to hold the floor with 40 votes instead of requiring 60 affirmative votes to end debate.
