Just a glimpse into what re-imagining policing looks like. This program is being copied by a bunch of cities currently.
I'm glad people thought this guy was the perfect person to put in the office instead of Bernie. Dem Primary Voters should be burned alive
Look at this sheeple who doesn’t clearly see that Thomas Barrack is the code name given to Barack Hussein Obama by Donald J. Trump and that you “indicted” he’s clearly signaling that Obama was just executed at Gitmo. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH, SHEEPLE!!!!
really nailed those hashtags. glad he confirms that gun-toting morons sit around fantasizing all day about getting to use their firearms for completely made up reasons
“Hey dude you could be more considerate of those people FYI” “I AM PREPARED TO SHOOT YOU IN YOUR HEAD FOR ASSAULTING MY RIGHTS!!”
from an interview I found after a 10 second google search Lucas Botkin: I’m 25 years old…and I’m a civilian. I have no law enforcement or military background. That said, something very important to me growing up was the idea of protecting other people. It was a passion of mine. I didn’t know how I was going to do that when I was older…whether it was going to be becoming a cop, or joining the military and being a soldier or something. I was doing some things in my community, and then I did some stuff over in Africa for an NGO. AKA, I don't actually want to put in any or sacrifice, but I am big into LARPing.
Lol, he's a classic, "I would have been in the military but...." beta that never gets laid, didn't pay attention in school, and is intimidated and scared of people that live in cities.
I call it proximal valor and boy do southerners love it. “I’m not in the military or a LEO but I share their interests so if you want casually give me some credit for the work they do I’m not going to stop you. Not all heroes swear capes/badges/insignia!”
So today at work, a bunch of guys were spouting bullishit about Trump, welfare and immigration. So I started talking shit back. One guy who has the smallest nose I've ever seen on a human being got chest to chest with me and said "You are just an OPPOSER. THAT'S ALL YOU DO IS OPPOSE EVERYTHING WE SAY!!1!!" I said."That's right, when you are spewing this ignorant bullishit I am going to call it out every single time, and if you don't get out of my face,, I'm going to beat your ass in front of your homeboys ". THEN he accused me of "always wanting to fight" (totally not true), and he walked out of the room. But I REALLY like the tag they have given me. "The Opposer". I might even make it my new screen name, idk.
Oliver Wendell Holmes was known to “enjoy” his taxes. According to Felix Frankfurter’s book Mr. Justice Holmes and the Supreme Court, Justice Holmes told a young law clerk who complained about paying them, “I like to pay taxes. With them I buy civilization.” When John D. Rockefeller Sr. died in 1937, the estate tax was nearly 70%, yet complaints from his family would not be publicly heard. Two years earlier his son earned more than $5 million; this gave him the distinction of being the only person in America’s highest tax bracket (at a rate of 63%). No editorials were written by John Jr. to suggest class warfare, or that the rich were being unfairly singled out. :Small USA flag: current estate tax is 40%
As I've detailed in previous posts, I work in a fairly conservative environment. So, it was quite a surprise to me to discover my new trainee drives a car with Bernie and Medicare for all bumper stickers. I keep my political views secret, mostly, due to concern over it impacting my job, but it's been nice to have someone to relate to on these issues. She went on to tell me about her RBG shrine and her ACAB earrings. Obviously it's only an anecdote, but I sure hope she is indicative of what zoomers will bring to the table.
A young woman making RBG her political idol seems appropriate considering her career achievements in gender equality advocacy. She made some blunders but still not about to throw stones there
RBG has turned it a very weird meme. She was an amazing person and jurist. But then we have the weird obsession with her as a logo / cartoon figure / quote machine for liberal wine mom's and cringey super online people.
