It is interesting to me that, to be a candidate for the federal bench under Trump, you typically needed to be under 50 years old and a member of the Federalist Society. The GOP wants little to do with real federalism though. To obtain a divorce, in some states you used have have to travel. Nevada had a six week residency requirement to divorce, then other states were required to recognize your legally obtained Nevada divorce. They are facing 20 years for racketeering in a $61 million fraud scheme set up through a 501(c) that funneled dark money into Ohio races in exchange for a $1 billion taxpayer bailout of a utility. Two lobbyists pled guilty and testified against them. Probably the most influential lobbyist in Columbus for most of the 2000’s, Neil Clark, committed suicide after the scandal broke.
