Wait till MTG introduces a bill saying Biden turned on the weather machine to hit Florida with Hurricane Ian or something.
This is one of the few instances where “both sides bad” actually applies. It’s weird when both sides do this shit.
Joe actually gives a shit about most Americans, Kevin just cares about how he can sell it to a handful of Americans.
If it’s an email from a state agency, it’s probably public record anyway, right? At least it is in Tennessee.
They definitely are. But I assume a public school’s emails would be subject to the same public records request.
The fact that dude can make these comments publicly and not immediately fear for his life (or shit at least lose his job, etc) sucks.
We've all bitched about this before for the past seven or eight years it feels like, but you really should be dragged out of your house and beaten if you seriously think these are compatible beliefs.
Being where we are today (the fact the white house negotiated at all) I don’t see how any Dem can be upset with this result. You could ofc argue why even negotiate but that’s in the past. Now I do wonder how much blowback McCarthy will receive and what ultimately happens when one of the MAGA crowd uses their provision to try and oust him. In the end they basically created a massive amount of uncertainty and accomplished very little. I don’t see how this is a positive for McCarthy and crew.
Yes, the end date of the freeze didn’t change. But, I believe the DOE was discussing implementing some kind of transition period before penalties happened once payments and interest restarted. This prevents that without a Congressional act.
Biden should be all "no deal! Student loan payment freeze ends today!" Then the pubs will be all "fuck you Brandon student loan forgiveness for all"
that’s a big deal, still worth noting it’s partially due to the economics of construction at the moment
Insurance companies have been pulling out of SC for the last few years too due to hurricanes intensifying and the effects of sea levels rising.
Not apparently that’s happening and you can directly blame Desantis and the legislature for doing absolutely nothing about it
