On the racial depolarization front, I don’t know if the whites are moving dem, but the number of Hispanic and black men I see in blue lives matter and American flag fucking camo gear is increasing exponentially. Could be fashion, could be fascism.
the one that doesn't change colors is 22 bucks. https://shop.joebiden.com/dark-roast-mug/ bernie sells his mugs for 20 bucks. https://store.berniesanders.com/products/bernie-classic-logo-11-oz-coffee-mug must be the novelty of it all.
Would love to see this happen if only to hear conservatives cry about how unfair it is and move to abolish the EC, in which case I think we’d all be like “ok, you win” and avoid mentioning we’ve being saying that for decades now.
Just global political realignment Reminder that Obama had the ec advantage in 12. It was 5.5 percent in 20 and has moved towards the Dems by 4-5 points on average per Presidential year
I don't want to get into a discussion on this 14 months before the actual election, but at first bluff it seems ridiculous to think that Biden (or any democrat) could finally win Texas, but then somehow lose so much ground everywhere else that he loses the popular vote. If Biden were actually going to win Texas, seems like he'd probably win the popular vote as democrats tend to do.
My more important point was that the ec advantage has been shifting towards Dems lately Odds of a split are tiny bit Biden can lose like 10 percent in California and new York while making up the 5 percent in Texas the other way
Idk if you chose CA and NY intentionally but the clickbait shit about cities and immigration in cities I think drives people in those states away from Dems.
I chose those states, especially NY, have the demographics where racial and educational polarization would lower the dem margins substantially but not remotely put the states in play. Already seen goofy results in NY the last few cycles
Biden lost texas by about 600k votes in 2020 in texas and there will be approximately 2 million new voters in 24. Unfortunately most won’t show up.
Also if texas were to flip the Secretary of State has pretty much signaled they’ll just throw out Harris counties votes.
No Dem will win as long as GOP has control over the election auditing etc. I think Paxton all but said he threw out a ton of mail-in votes last cycle to ensure Biden did not win Texas.
Biden and Dems bailed the economy out yet again and he may lose popular vote? This country is so goddamn dumb.
Right, Texas seems VERY clear that they are going to absolutely rig the next election in favor of the GOP.
i have a friend who pays for one of the blue line license plate. When I saw it I said wtf man, he said, he hopes it gives him help if he get pulled over
It’s reductive but basically yes. I’ve found that every time I think about something critically and consider different POVs it almost always exhaustingly comes back to the obvious.
A dem presidential nom will not win Texas. If Texas goes blue, it basically forecloses any chance of an R winning. They could win nearly every other swing state and they would still lose. It would be more damaging to Rs than losing California would be for Dems. Whether it’s legitimate or not, debatable. But the R nom is winning Texas.
I just learned that every texas attorney general since 1972 other than John Cornyn (who is obviously a senator) has gone onto become Governor which adds even more weight to this Paxton trial
Why would y’all be worried about losing the popular vote… or even losing the election right now… Biden gonna sweep the leg yall cmon
that's a particular issue I don't have a lot of insight about. obviously it seems like a humane way to deal with the problem.
Yeah but if you prefer these people to OD and die so you don’t have to think about them then it’s a obvious problem
It's easier if drug addicts and the homeless just die then we don't have to think about society's failures
Where is this coming from? Trump killed a good number of his voters and the economy is fine, we have an infrastructure bill and unemployment is so low business bros are whining. Are there seven million Trump/Biden voters switching after the indictments? I’m confused.
