Travelers used to have a model (maybe they still do) where you could get it "online only" for much cheaper, but you didn't have an agent. Through an agent was more expensive, but there are obvious advantages to having a real person advocating for you.
So, I guess there is a 10-day delay when you switch brokerages but retain the same carrier (presumably the old agency tries to woo you back). Just found out my old brokerage was like "yeah, see ya" and waived the delay. Thanks wes tegg for the Prewitt rec. They've been great to work with.
Yeah, but the chip quality is ass. Utz is an improvement for every flavor*. *Except salt & vinegar. Theirs SUCKS.
Need some rain Sunday is just such an easier play though. Who cares about afternoon NFL then slide in like collingsworth if you want
David Sedaris presale going on now, code “David” on Ticketmaster… April 21st BJCC concert hall. I was in tears last time we saw him, hardest I’ve laughed in years, great date night activity. Highly recommend.
This should be fun. The interchange will change the way drivers navigate the area, potentially feeling like they are on the wrong side of the road. The diverging diamond interchange in Homewood will not be the first in Jefferson County. Roadwork has already started on a similar interchange at McAshan Drive and Interstate 59/20 in McCalla, which is expected to be completed by 2027. Another diverging diamond is planned for the future Exit 9 on Interstate 459. They even have a website https://divergingdiamond.com/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diverging_diamond_interchange
There’s been one in Malbis near the Eastern Shore Center for a few years. Every time I drive through it, I feel like I’m going to mess it up
One has been here for a few years. It’s easy and does move all the left turning cars onto 75 more efficiently.
I’m 100% roundabout but a roundabout won’t work here. The DD is very easy to follow and less possible ways for dumbasses to fuck up.
Oh, for sure RE the roundabout. But the DD depends a lot on maintaining lines and signage, and I think AL is about the worst state I've ever lived for that. Even reflective paint and/or markers would make a huge difference.
DDs are the most efficient way to move traffic, or at least that's what my traffic engineering textbook said 15 years ago. I've been through a few in Illinois that are easy to navigate/hard to mess up due to curbing, etc.
(thumbing suspenders) now, i'm just a small time country driver, but i don't believe i've ever come across one of these
I don’t know why any of you are worried about a diverging diamond. With ALDOT in charge it won’t be completed in our lifetime.
Does anyone have a contact for grandfather clock repair in our area? I’m looking at a few options from google but curious if anyone has someone else or an opinion on who to use.
The first hit on Google is “The Clock Goblin”. I don’t know why you’d look any further than someone who would name their company that.
Taylor’s Fine Timepieces in Cullman. It will likely take a while, but he’s great and his store is awesome. He was formerly Bromberg’s head horologist.
Dude seems to have a waiting list (not surprising). Any chance he works on watches that are not Rolex or higher grade? I don't know anyone here in town who does, but wouldn't mind giving them business.
ramszoolander there is a watch shop off Montclair called Sergei’s and all the reviews are about how big of an asshole the owner is. Please go there.
In town with kids. Anyone know One Two ’s favorite brewery? Would love to take a moody 14 yr old, and hyper 7 yr old there for lunch.
