Just that the point of the crypto is to be a platform for "decentralized districts". I don't really understand the point but some people I've seen who've made good calls on a lot of coins seem to like it so I got some as a long shot.

sounds dumb but whatever, i will always pick the coin with the better name. groestlcoin can't even be pronounced by most. same reason i have very little interest in wtc. no one wants anything called "walton". rebrand and get back to me.
Sounds like they plan to rebranding discussion in January. BTC just took off, have to do with Chinese maybe unbaning it? Or just normal BTC growth?

Traded in a small percentage of my vtc for a few hundred grs. Starting to look like ln segwit coins will be where its at until the fork.

Not if you buy with a card. Also cash deposits to gdax (part of coinbase) seem to take about half as long as bank account purchases.
My card wouldnt work with them, it made no sense. it kept rejecting it ITs ok, the bitcoin i bought at 5700 so its doing ok
Yeah I made a lot of mistakes this past week the original 250 dollar investment I made was down to 220 dollars. Then I did started to research. That 230 is now 255. I'm hooked now.
overstock is basically the biggest online store accepting crypto right now. they just announced an ico a few days ago. not sure if it's even going to be worth anything for real (probably not) but i think it's worth looking into.
i bought in at 10k satoshis. thought it was a bit high to buy but it seems to still be moving. i don't know shit about the coin really and none of the guys i follow are really talking about it. but if it's similar to vtc it has some good tech behind it. however it def does look to be on the up and up so maybe wait for a small retracement?
It's the same tech as vert coin but better (according to reddit) they are doing and ama Friday and a rebranding later in the year. I could see. It going much higher than the 80 cents it'd at now.

Vtc will be more valuable here soon as they are halving. Should decrease the circulation from miners.
Bitcoin cruising the last 3 months has been awesome. I don't think the ride is close to being over yet either. Question for the gang - how valid of a metric is the wallet creation rate for measuring BTC acceptance growth? Is it safe to assume that 90%+ of the new BTC wallets created each day are new users?
