Didn't see a thread for it. My buddy played it all night and said the zombies is by far the hardest of the series.
I've read that people who liked AW hate it and vice versa. Hope so... I hated AW. Getting it tonight.
I didn't like AW either. I played the beta and it's got a little different mechanics than the other 2 have. It's not like AW where you can just bounce everywhere. You can do the wall runs and stuff and you basically have a "super" now. The zombies mechanics are just like the old ones. You can rank up and custom gun in it now too.
That boost dodge bullshit is why I quit AW. If they do it like Titanfall, I'll be happy. I started COD with ghosts. I'm excited about this zombie business.
I didn't like multi in Ghosts, but extinction was awesome. I never played Titanfall, but Treyarch did it and I read where they said the mechanics are basically the same. Zombies will be like Ghosts, with no exo or anything like that. Just the normal style of running and jumping.
How long does it take to download this? Any advantages/disadvantages between downloading and buying the actual disc? I'm bored and want to play now but don't want to run out and also don't want to wait hours to play Thanks
It'll take a couple of hours to download. If you get the disk you can trade it in if you want something else later or take it back if you don't like it and use it towards something else. If you download it you're just stuck with it. I always trade in the old COD for the new one. The disk takes like 20-30 mins depending on your internet to set up.

That's what I started on. I didn't get really into the series until Black Ops 1. MW was too much sniping for me. I never touch sniper rifles.
MW was imo balanced. i'm not one for sitting in one spot with a sniper, but the risk of those guys being around made it much more fun imo and was a nice change of pace to do it myself everynow and then. its 100% run and gun now and its boring.
thats fair. I just think the maps should offer as many styles as possible for it to feel fresh. Run and gun is the only rewarding way to play now and have been since MW3 probably and it gets boring way too fast. I had like 40 days of online play on MW2 probably had less than 1 on AW
Ghosts and AW were not that good to me. This one feels way better. You might be able to snipe now. Not sure.
i highly doubt it from the maps i saw on twitch, but maybe. I wish the games were better but i'll just play fallout 4 anyways.
The same story from every fps pitch a tent player ever. They all hate treyarch and pine for the glory days of lane campin stationery IW games. Nothin wrong with that if its your thing. And theres no doubt you can camp fine in Blops 2 & 3, its just with scorestreaks, camping isnt as rewarding. Obj players and slayers get all the streaks
yea i said i was mostly run and gun so try again. there is next to no sniping spots in blops 2 and 3 etc.
That's because every map funnels you, left, right or down the middle. No open spaces for long rang firefights
I know and its boring imo. its too bad really because i used to enjoy these games a lot back in the day. i'm not trying to tell people they should feel the same, but i just wish theyd go back so i could enjoy it. All the gadgets like super jump and wall running etc, is another reason why i just cant get into it anymore.
Played last night, the specialist moves are fun. The boosting and wall running are okay I guess, rarely use it though. I haven't had time to get a good class built but I'm having fun.
Sparrow is my favorite so far. Haven't unlocked any of the other ones yet. Need to try War Machine next.
I'm only a 14 in multi so far, so I haven't gotten to try any of the other ones. They all look badass though.
I think the best thing about the movement mechanics is that you never feel forced to use them to be successful. The complete opposite of AW
The jump reminds me of the hunters in Destiny, so I use it but only the wall thing if I'm trying to get somewhere and you have to use it.
Same. It's as enjoyable as the last 2 BO's. Haven't gotten to play The Giant yet, but so far it's all around just a solid game. As mentioned, you don't have to do any of the new stuff like the jump or wall run and still be competitive in multi. It just gives you the option if you want too. The boosted slide is nice though.
Not yet. Maybe it's in The Giant, but it's not in Shadows of Evil. Shadows is by far the most massive zombie map I think I've played. There's so much shit to do on it. Co-op campaign is awesome too. We had 4 of us doing it on Hardened and it reminded me of Destiny. You can't just run in guns blaring in it. You gotta figure out how to get past stuff.
Well damn. Used to have a lot of fun playing multiplayer, usually with people from this board. Will probably scoop it soon

i did have fun with that game. that and infected were my favorite. i never really played zombies. since nobody is on destiny though. i might really consider this.
