So BlazingRebel tell us what happened and how you are doing brother.....
A baby? He is a baby daddy? Wtf
Oh, he broke a bone throwing a softball during a game
4 hour surgery, I'm assuming?
Did you feel any headache pain while your arm was snapped?
I'm typing all this left handed so it will take a minute.
Because of my little Roo I hadn't played in a month, so I made sure to warm up a good bit. It was the final inning we were up, but they were starting to chip away at our lead. They runners at first and second one out with top of the line up. It was a linedrive shot to me in shallow left center. My short stop said fire it home, so I crow hopped and came over the top firing like I've done hundreds of times in games. I heard a loud crack like a gunshot and I hit the ground immediately . I was on my back and my hand and wrist were pointed right while my upper arm was pointed left, I was holding my arm up with tremendous pain and all my teammates were telling me to stay down. They got me iced and slinged up and I held up my arm while we walked to the dugout. I could move my fingers and wrist but when I told my arm to move I felt nothing. They got me water which tasted completely bitter because I was in shock. I held my arm and we went to the ER and everybody thought it was s rotator cuff injury first xray the doc said well that is no good and said its not your shoulder he showed me the pic it was my humerus bone completely snapped at the elbow. I got apparently a spiral fracture so they immediately admitted me. I had surgery this morning for two plus hours where they put in one long plate and 11screws
You live a wild life
well did you get the out?
Wow. What'd the doc say??? Recovery time? Congrats on the kid too!
Talking to them in the morning
My daughter , proposing to my gf by the end of the year.
Held the runner at 3rd
Yeah they competed it was bullshit
how the actual fuck did you break your arm throwing a softball
Unreal my pain tolerance I barely made a sound focused on breathing and staying calm while they splinted me up. Just walking around the ballpark holding my arm up praying it was just a dislocation
Basically this but with the bones side by side in 2
Thrower’s fractures are most commonly reported in men in their 20s and 30s who are less seasoned athletes.10,11 These individuals are potentially at greater risk due to the lack of compensatory humeral cortical hypertrophy from repetitive throwing10,12 coupled with a less refined throwing motion.13 Additionally, up to 75% of patients experience prodromal throwing pain at the impending fracture site,11 which suggests that a primary insult such as a stress fracture may also predispose patients to this fracture pattern.
Just my luck the drs were baffled this is known to happen in pitchers but rarely in fielders
Wtf? You’re like Gerhardt Hapsburg...with the hair to boot.
This sucks hoping to go home tomorrow
Ridiculously hard to find any comfortable place on this bed for this arm
welcome to the brittle bone club bruh. Drinks are over there
Just glad I can feel my arm again last night was absolutely surreal I could feel my shoulder try to make arm move but no response. Just picking up my wrist and elbow like they were weightless to take pressure off of my humerus.
That is bullshit.
Migraine lost but it was close
That’s one hella of a migraine.
Vid chatting with my girls my little Roo is telling me stories. Seeing my one month old smile is a great pick me up
Are you secretly excited about not having to do diapers etc for a while?
Doesn't bother me at all I was a live in caretaker for over a year so I've cleaned way bigger messes than anything my daughter could do
Getting IV dilaudid soon then going to try and sleep. Y'all take care gents
I got my gents right here. You go take yours bruh

Annnnnnndddd the night just improved
How the fuck a baby break its arm?
Sounds like the personification of man
Better sounding than I got kidnapped and put under a damn blanket.
May I ask why you call you daughter Roo? Actual name, nickname, are you a family of marsupials?
Because on the ultra she had really long legs and really powerful kicks like a kangaroo so it became my nickname for her and funny enough she has a birth mark right above her left ankle
Her name is Mary Elizabeth but only I call her Roo
Better sounding than I got kidnapped and put under a damn blanket
When I'm more awake remind me to tell y'all the story on how my mind put together waking up in recovery after the surgery.
It hurt but I'm learning where I can hold my wrist to where I can get out of bed on my own without help.
