I like how they talk about the mom getting drunk and the parents needing time away from the kids. The writing is fantastic.
On most shows I choose the "skip intro" option. Never on Bluey. I laugh out loud at some the lines in that show, and that rarely happens with a toddler show.
because the show is intentionally written for both parents and children. ex the baby race episode is 100% written for moms dealing with post partum.
The walk episode where they make Bingo play all the way there despite saying she can’t walk any further so she needs a piggy back ride is so damn spot on.
Wife and I wore our Bluey shirts to a 5yr old birthday party. Surprised at how many families still don’t know about the show.
My mom likes to make shirts and last year she made us all Bluey shirts for Roo’s third birthday party. It had each character pertaining to each member of the family. Still wear it often though the lettering is peeling but Bandit on mine with DAD in lettering on the back.
Levi was watching Bluey this morning, as is normal. He somehow got inspired to “step across” the 3’ gap from coffee table to sofa. Let’s see how that went!
He landed on a 8” cubed plastic box that has cut-outs to stick shapes/letters/numbers in. It was loud af. Did not deter him. He immediately got back on the table and tried again.
Season 3 is so far ahead of anything else it’s not even funny. Also in the spoiler is the voice of Chili Spoiler
I watched Movies with my daughter last night and it dissuaded me from taking her to a movie with me and my son this weekend. She would have all the worst characteristics of both Bluey and Bingo from that episode.
Daughter's 1st birthday today and got her Bluey and Bingo talking stuffed animals and a Bluey pop up playhouse. She gonna love them (and so will I).
Sleepy Time is my life. The first time I saw that I think it was a particularly rough stretch for the kids sleeping wise, for me at work, etc… I remember laughing and getting teary eyed at it. My kids constantly ask for that episode.
Unicourse, Pass the Parcel, Family Meeting, Granny Mobile, Smoochy Kiss, and Whale Watching are my Season 3 highlights so far. Season as a whole has been really strong.
Unicorse, Faceytalk, Perfect, fairytale, and obstacle course are all better than any of season 1 or 2.
I’ll always have a soft spot for S1. My son who was 4 at the time and I watched the entire season after it came out both sick as shit in bed all day (this was super bowl wknd 2020 and we both just had “just a virus going around”) the Jean luc camping episode, the creek, grannies, the pool - lots of good ones
They’re great but I don’t know that this is true. also, whale watching and family meeting were two of my favorites from season 3
