Oregon +4, I'd type more but have class in half an hour. Pretty much I think Boise St is overrated as shit this year and is closer to a top 40 team than a top 15 team.
BTW, everyone wants to overrate Boise State's home record. Here's the only true record that matters... Boise State is 2-2 against BCS teams on the smurf turf.
I am a complete uneducated novice at betting so don't blast me but I am just worried that everyone seems to be taking Oregon and it is some sort of trap.
Vegas depends a lot on trends but the thing with Oregon is they are very unpredictable this season with a new coach, especially in the first game. If this was week 4, I'd agree with you but I think it has more to do with Vegas giving too many points to BSU because of there heavily over-inflated home record to start out. If it was a trap, I don't think you'd see the line moving this much, could be wrong but when everyone was taking Tennessee -7 last year against UCLA (Something like 90%), the line didn't even move as I recall, maybe not more than .5.

What you're failing to understand is Oregon and Boise State get the most points for home field advantage, more than anyone else in the country for home games which is 4. With the spread at 3 now, Boise State is simply favored for the sole reason of the game being at Boise State.
Pretty sure LSU gets the most, followed by Boise State and Texas Tech. That's what some guy on Cowherd's show said earlier this summer.
It might've changed and if so, I'm mistaken. But before last season it was Oregon and Boise State. Even so, you just stated BSU is still in the top 3 which still supports my point :bananadog:
I bet a bunch of Oregon games last year. That Purdue game was a nail biter. Was on the right side of that one tho.
At first glance when the lines 1st came out, Oregon seemed like the play. Now that 90% of the public is on Oregon, not so sure. The public is normally wrong. I'll probably end up making a very small play on Boise.
Oregon +4, it's gonna be a great Thursday. Free Lupe Fiasco concert and then get back from that and the game starts.. Got to love the first week of college football.

honestly don't know where im leaning here on the one hand, vegas wasnt built by giving the public (which is like 90% in favor of oregon) free money on the other hand, you bet on the teams and how they match up, not how other people are betting. i like oregon's running back, their quarterback, their coach. i dont like their offensive line, their LBs, their reliance on jucos on defense to plug some sizable holes. i like boise state's coach, their homefield advantage. i dont like their talent generally. the more i think about it the more im just gonna chill on thursday and take bong rips instead of worrying about this game or the NCSU vs. Scary game.
What I'm failing to understand? There isn't one piece of betting information you have or know that I don't...you need to keep this talk directed at someone else... What you're failing to understand is that, let's say BSU gets 4 points for being at home.....is that not a factor in the outcome of the game? Do teams not have HFA? Can you really just throw that out? What you're also failing to understand is...take away the 4 points to BSU as HFA....and make it UO -1 on a neutral field (which is what MY line would be at a neutral site anyway....remember I haven't even said much about who will actually win this game)......back to the point....UO is -1 at a neutral site...or -4 or -5 at home....you're acting like Oregon should be a 2 TD favorite....jumping from thread to thread acting like a buffoon trying to get anyone who would listen to know that a) Boise State's home record means nothing and b) you only lost because they cheap shotted your QB..... What you're also failing to understand is that the line opened at -6....which means BSU was made the favorite for more than just their HFA.......it is only at -3 because more money has bet it down...not because they're still trying to keep BSU the favorite because they're playing at home.
Sirmon and ex-duck Rashad Bauman are our GA's, both were in the NFL so big time pickups for the coaching taff. I expect Sirmon to be here for only one year though.
