Hot take - Bomani should go to a 90 min pod once a week instead 3x a week. He's getting pretty repetitive imo. To the point where I can tell you exactly what he's gonna say when they start a topic.
I enjoyed his Wednesday pod with Aldridge. I haven't listened to many pods lately or watched Game Theory at all. Has he used that Memphis line before about how at first watching them made him feel young, and now watching them makes him feel really old? Because that was perfect.
I typically skip Monday's pod if I've seen Game Theory or if it's a special topic. He's better with a guest and always has been.
Todays episode reminded me that Glen Davis played fullback at my high school and could have been a better football player than nba player.
My two favorite sports personalities, great episode. Side note: congratulations to Eric The Viking on your Boscar win!
Foxworth Friday...I need to know which coach's son hooked up with these Denver ladies that Dominique was talking about.
Laughed like an idiot during the psychedelic segment A toad that will change your life… … That musta been Jermaine Durpi’s pickup line to Janet Jackson
I love Bomani more than just about any sports media personality but he’s gotta quit telling us he’s off Twitter when that clearly isn’t the case.
How long have you known if him? He was pretty much shaved bald when he was first getting on tv I thought? Then grew it out over Covid.
I was coming here to post this. It was interesting that Bo let it loose that he was thinking about leaving ESPN/They might not have wanted him around.
This last time was kind of ridiculous because the ‘85 Tulane point-shaving scandal is a really quick Google and not a mystery.
The last time the music segment was funny when he and Elle Duncan were talking about how white the Georgia QB room is.
Like Bo and Dominique mentioned, I’m not sure there’s a worse place to do that than Hartsfield. And I say that as someone who worked tangentially at the Airport (part of the international terminal construction project) for several years.
Pretty interesting episode this morning. I didn't expect that type of story from Bo's Raleigh radio days.
The bit about Two-a-days in Louisiana and Angola Institution made me have flashbacks. I remember during summer workouts, we would have to push our coach's Toyota 4Runners and F150s around the LSU Law school parking lot. Looking back on that, I'm wondering what were the adults in the room thinking when someone sketched out the idea of 16 and 17 year olds pushing vehicles in 90 degree Louisiana heat lol. The stories about field trips to Angola Institution are true. I never had to go to something like that. But I know people who have. Typically it was used as a scare tactic, which is some wild shit to do to children.
