Lifeiskilingme79 Daddy Rabbit thanks for saying hello last night! Always good to run into TMB peeps. And I'm embarrassed that we evacuated centeroo last night.
Helluva weekend. So many great performances. Finally got to meet some of TMBers. Lifeiskilingme79 watched Jason Isbell in the pit and Nathaniel Rateliff with me. He spotted LeVar Burton a few yards from us. Ran into Tex on Sunday evening. Thanks for the shots. I admit Im jealous of your beard.
No problem man. Nice meeting you. Another great Roo in the books. I'll be back next year with my glorious beard. Hmm I'll get crazy and say The Rolling Stones, Radiohead, and Drake for 2017.
I saw the Stones in Nashville two days after Roo last year. If they come to Roo, I will nut in your beard.
Doing a top 5 shows will be hard for me this year. Gun to head right now, I was more blown away by LCD Soundsystem. I didnt know who they wete until this year and spent little time listening beforehand.
Barely. Got up this morning at 6 in time to work What a fucking awesome weekend. Honestly not sure how I survived off such little sleep. Pearl Jam was the best concert I've ever been to. Been my #1 band to see for a while and it was so fucking good. Smashed some rando on Saturday after Big Gramz. Gotta say I did not think that would happen and it was actually not as gross/dirty as I thought it'd be, but I was pretty fucked up so who really knows. Can't decide on a top 5 as of yet, but I have a bottom 2: Misterwives and Macklemore. Everyone else I saw was great.
Yeah I haven't read up on any of the rumors but a buddy had and this weekend told me he had read the U2/RHCP stuff.
Chance is a #3 HL already? Would have thought he'd be billed 5-6, but guess not. Saw RHCP twice at headlining sets in the last few years (Coachella '13, Lolla '16) and did nothing for me. U2 would be a pretty cool booking even if they aren't my favorite act, would gain some decent media coverage.
RHCP is so hit or miss on the festival circuit. Also their sets get shorter every tour. Saw them twice in 2012, awful at Bonnaroo, but the weather shortened Lolla set was amazing. Saw them again in 2013 at Music Midtown and it was very good. Would love to see U2 and I'm not the biggest fan of them at all.
U2 is my least favorite band. It would be cool to see RHCP I guess. Either way, my early plan is to be there on the hill again.
jesus gonna be another all-time low attendance with The Weekend heading the bill RHCP maybe 10 years ago would have been rad
I second this notion. One of the better weekends top to bottom for me. Just being able to move around and get great spots to sets. . This year may be different
The Weeknd just set Spotify's record for most streams in one day over the weekend with his new album dropping. He's not really a satisfying headliner, but I envision he sells a lot more tickets than LCD Soundsystem did. I don't think Bonnaroo will ever go back to ~90-100k sell-out attendance (festival saturation mostly), but probably would expect a modest bounce back with these headliners.
