My "supervisor" emailed me today wanting to know if I wanted to work this year. Edit: and my new job approved my time off already
I'm still not sure if I'm going, waiting for my friends to commit, but goddamn that Tame Impala late night is going to be insane. I want to go just for that.
Meh, I don't give a shit about LCD. Which is perfectly fine, means I could get better spots to Tame Impala.
I know we are roughly a month away from getting it, but everytime I see Tex attached a file I expect the schedule.
I got my camping and wristband forms emailed to me. those fuckers dont screw me out of a camping car pass like last year. I think part of the problem was my supervisor sending in all the forms at the deadline. She is going to submit mine a month early this year to make sure we get confirmation. Edit: My wife and I are her only campers out of ~50 people. One downside is the VIP Hill is not open Thursday, so I dont get a wristband for that day. Some years they give me hassle if I try to set up camp on Thursday afternoon.
Friends that I normally go with are getting married, gf's, work, had a busy 2016 and can't do everything.
Sell beer and concessions at the VIP Hill tent at the What stage. Show up at 10AM on Friday morning and unload cases of beer and get the ice and coolers going. Then we sit up there in the shade until they open the gates to the main stage, which is 30 min before the first show. Get off at 5PM to do whatever. Sat and Sun we take inventory first thing then wait. Gravy train. However, I dont make any tips or wages. I dont really care since I get a free ticket and a $25 camping pass. The best is being on the hill when they open the gates. Get a birds eye view on everyone running to the pits at What. There are only a handful of people that get to watch that, which is cool to me. Edit: another reason why the schedule release is important to me. Last year was great with the later shows at the What stage. The first show didnt start until 2 or 3, so I didnt have to do shit but drink free water and gatorade under a big tent.
That'll work too. What do I need to bring and when and where are we meeting. I'll bring stuff just no party favors. Keep me posted
Dickssportinggoods.com right now $59.99. http://m.dickssportinggoods.com/fam...roup_CampingHikingGear_R3_C1_CanopiesShelters
I also saw this one: http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/aca...e-10-x-10-pop-up-canopy?repChildCatid=1028613 Which is best? Or better deal?
To me looks about the same to me. Dicks has one in burnt orange. If you found anything else on Dicks that u needed it would be free shipping
I have the one from Dicks. I bent the shit out of one of the poles while packing up last year and the canopy tore really easy. That said, I took it back and they replaced it without much of a hassle.
My dicks EZ up came in I'll just say the burnt orange looks a little off but as long as it does its job I'll be ok.
Lifeiskilingme79 they fucked my handbill orders all up. What about you? I'm now handbilling Jazz Fest for two days and the MMJ concert here in Houston which wasn't even an option.
They left 1 of mine off but I just realized it. My buddy never got his for the pearl jam show either. I wonder if they're already cutting back staffing.
Y'all need to email them and stay on them or you won't get them. Only one girl has been responding to me but it's every couple of days. I think they only have a few people left. I complained and she let me pick what I wanted to handbill.
Bonnaroo–Verified account @Bonnaroo Keep your eyes peeled Bonnaroovians... Magical things are on the way this week
Get to watch Grace, Stapleton, and Isbell while working. Glad they are on What Stage. Sort of sucks I wont get to pay full attention.
