I have a dry ice question. My dry ice came in a thick paper bag that I left on it. I then threw a towel over it and then water bottles but it's not cold. Should I take the dry ice out of the paper bag? I don't want to lose my hands due to burns. Keef ATLEnergyGuy Tiffin
I can hold the 20 lb block in my hands with the paper. It feels cold but its not bad. I've never bought it with the paper, usually they use tongs or heavy gloves and just put the blocks in. I have no idea.
Take the dry ice out of the paper and you can put it in plastic and still get some good effect. Put the towel over the dry ice and you'll be fine. but make sure the dry ice doesn't directly touch anything like canned beer or it will make a mess.
Earth Wind and Fire was a shit load of fin tonight. ODESZA also brought it and put on a good show for the brief time I was in the tent.
There was another article in a local paper about doing a country camping fest at the farm in addition to Roo.
Good luck with that. They did the "Thunder on the Mountain" festival at Mulberry mountain where they have Waka and they had to cancel it because they didn't sell enough tickets. Last I heard is it has been are huge bitch trying to get a refund from the company as well. Country music fans and 4 days worth of camping gets to be a little much I'd assume when you're just running on weed, beer, whiskey and meth.
Surprising because those two goofball pretend robots usually wouldn't let something like that out as early as that. I mean there is no other choice. I will be there. That's just the way it has to be.
Lol those three headliners would all cost more than the most expensive headliner this year. Pretty solid dream lineup though
I told myself I wouldn't go back, but gaddam I want to see Daft Punk and the Rolling Stones before they keel over.
I would prefer they went back to Lolla again -- I like showering/pooing in bathrooms, as well as sleeping in beds.
My old ass just isn't cut out for it any more. And as much as I love festivals and being able to see that many bands in one day, I don't think it lends itself to actually appreciating the music very well. You want to catch so many acts that you don't get to fully appreciate each performance. We always end up wanting to see three different bands that are playing around the same time, so instead of picking one and getting good seats, we'll get shitty seats for all three of them and miss a lot of the performances in the process. And when I do get good seats, my wife and I both have tiny ass bladders so I feel like we either have to separate or sacrifice our seats. This aspect would be a lot better if we were in a big group though obviously. I'd rather go to a badass concert for one band and fully appreciate it from a musical standpoint is my main point. I love the atmosphere of a festival, but it's more about all the things surrounding the music than the music itself.
I saw the Stones the week after Bonnaroo this year in Nashville. Its a must do. They still got it. Phenomenal show.
They've been blowing up. Already closed out Shakey Knees. Won't be long till they headline stuff like Roo.
That's actually a pretty good guess, though I would suspect they get a Widespread/Phish to co-headline with the up and coming act to seem like they are catering to Roo's roots.
Prince, Muse, Widespread Panic. I'm picking WP since we had Phish more recently. We did get two piano players in consecutive years hmm. Any other famous piano players we are forgetting?
please no muse stones seem like an obvious target - legacy band that's still touring, big anniversary for the festival i can see them as top of the next level billed. kind of like avett bros in '14, What stage right before the biggest act
Muse is going to happen soon. They just released a new album too. Ya I could see Tame Impala in the MMJ spot this year... right before Muse.
The Stones ain't coming. Regardless I should be there. I met BUZZARD before the Robert Plant set last year. Some cat was walking around CAW CAW'N until he found his.group. He got pissed they didnt CAW back.
Never too early for rumors/confirmations, right? Big Grams did an AMA today and they said they will most likely be at Roo. One of my favorite memories of Roo was seeing Phantogram Thursday night. Robert Randolph confirmed he would be there. Might be with the SuperJam or The Word?
Yep 2012 it was awesome at night and they had a great light show. Sure is. Good start to the rumor/confirmation season.
Dead and Co, imo. Trey and Phil won't do it. I'd love the dead weather but that'd be a stretch since Jack just headline, no? Maybe not. Hope they do it big for the 15th year. Hope to make a triumphant return to the farm next year.
