I would put very little confidence in the Justin Timberlake rumors. Don't have inside info or anything, just seems like an odd booking from all parties involved - doesn't really fit with Bonnaroo, he hasn't really been rumbling about new music, not sure why Live Nation would throw him at 'Roo. If Pearl Jam, Dead & Co., and LCD are all legit, I would be surprised if they aren't top three with 4 probably being a DJ to close the What after LCD one night or maybe one of the big country-ish acts (Zach Brown, Avett Brothers).
Didn't LCD deny that they're reuniting? Also, JT has a new country album coming out. It's produced by Timbaland because nothing says country like Timbaland and JT.
How did they come to that? People have already been saying she would be there since her tour schedule lines up for it.
It does make sense and her tour allows it but it's also the same weekend as the CMT awards so she could be going there.
This was posted on Inforoo. Might be this years new logo but I don't see it on the social media stuff or the website?
Ya it looks like a bunch of pipes/bongs. Looks like it was on the ticket page but it changed back to the old logo when I checked it again. They are getting the website ready for the new layout it would seem.
Looking at the undercard of some of the other fests, here are some I would like to see on our card: Artists that havent been to Roo in at least the last three years that i remember Chris Stapleton ( hopefully takes Sturgills place. Sturgill played Coachella last year too) Matt and Kim Cold War Kids Volbeat Nathaniel Ratliff and the Night Sweats Grace Potter - not sure she is on a card but i love her Jason Isbell The Arcs Bully All Them Witches I will stop there for now. I am sure there are more. I have to find some new bands that fit my interests.
Probably no Stapleton since he will most likely play CMA fest. He has become such a huge name so quickly I can't imagine them not snagging him. Hope I'm wrong.
Volbeat will be in Europe during Roo. Grace Potter, Jason Isbell, and All Them Witches are thought to be answers to some of the Roo Clues. I think we get CWK and The Arcs.
Website updated. Tickets on sale 1/22. We have to pay to park this year. $60+ if you didn't do presale, VIP, etc.
Maybe I'm an old curmudgeon, but I feel like this I'd the beginning of the end. The price is quickly getting out of control. When I went in 2012, we paid last minute and it was $285 after all fees and taxes. Now it would be $349, ~$40 in taxes and fees, and then $60 for parking. I would never pay that for Roo. If it weren't for FanCorp, I would not be going back this year.
Paying for camping does seem like a bit of a price gouge, but $15 per person per day to camp isn't terrible. Truth is for most festivals there is SOMETHING you need to pay for similar to that. Coachella most people stay at hotels and you pretty much need to buy a $60 shuttle pass for the three days. Lolla and ACL you need to pay for transportation and parking if you drive. I believe Sasquatch makes you pay to camp too but I could be wrong. Honestly, if the revenue from $60 per head to park is the difference between staying on the Coachella/Lolla/ACL tier (IMO last year's lineup was about as bad as it gets for a top tier festival) or dropping to a mid-level fest, you should be fine forking it over.
Looks like it's kind of true about the money going to new stuff. With FanCorp we won't be paying for the ticket so I guess I'm not complaining about the $60. It is still the lowest price for most major fests that charge.
They are doing the water in a two step process. Unfortunately, the county's water system will not be able to handle the water load during Roo. The govt is giving them a a $500k grant to improve the water system for all of Coffee Co. The county has to match it dollar for dollar. The project will cost $1.4mil to get it all done. Out of that, AC Entertainment will be paying $300-600k depending on how it is split between AC, Coffee Co, and Manchester. It's not supposed to be done until 2017 though.
Maybe on a small scale but they county just had a meeting the other night and they still haven't been able to nail down the funding. Edit: I was wrong. Coffee Co voted to match the $500k grant so the ball is rolling now
The poster runs will kick up next month. Hopefully. I honestly can see it phasing it out soon though. Or maybe I'm just being negative. Idk.
