Well I’ll just take my $5 markup on Eagle Rare and go home.
What did you have?
I love blantons and have paid $80 for it at a retail store, but I would not pay $100 for it.
Stagg Jr. pain was REALLY numb after a couple pours of that.
Only reason I didn't drink straight grain alcohol was I remembered FSU saved us from Taggart. Things could be worse right BrickTamland?
Most of the time if you buy a bottle of blantons on secondary you can get one for $80 shipped to your front door, so realistically not much above retail.
Check out Market Square Liquors if you are in Tally later this fall and want to grab a bottle of Blanton’s. They usually get their own barrel.
What’s the deal with Blade and Bow keys? I thought I heard someone say something like you can send them all five and they send you a gift in return?
Yeah, its an invitation to this Anonymous society of drinkers
Best places in Dallas/Arlington?
What’s a good price for Weller 12 year? Is $149 high?
That’s what I thought. My buddy is claiming is a good price, but we live in VA, and it’s not available there
It’s available everywhere if you have connections (by friending stores / loyalty) or win lottery systems in certain states. Retail is like $30.
Yeah Ohio retail is 40. Lottery this Thursday to get a bottle.
It’s below secondary and well above retail.
You should stay home. I hear the odds are terrible. Everybody should just stay home like me.
Any good bourbon spots in Springfield MO, St. Louis or anywhere in between?
A friend of mine just scooped up some 1792 Sweet Wheat near Lake of the Ozarks. Sounds like they have a few things available in the area.
Nm. I'm dumb.
Hello at the show. I'm going to Atlanta Friday for the Braves game and hope to find something worth a damn whilst there. SC sucks ass for bourbon.
We'll be staying about a half mile from Sun Trust Park. If anyone can help with spots around the area let me know. I can share exact location where we're staying through PM if need be to keep from cluttering up the thread. We'll have all day Fri to look a few places. User Louis Holth will be in tow.
Local Vine on Cobb Parkway and Smyrna World of Beverage on South Cobb Drive are two good local options. SWOB keeps their allocated bottles behind the counter so you may need to ask if you want something specific.
If you have time to kill and want to go into the city, definitely check out Green’s Beverage’s on Ponce. It is known to be one of the best stores in the city.
Edit: Big A Bottle Shop on S Marietta Parkway is supposed to be really good as well. I haven’t had a chance to check it out but it gets great reviews on its bourbon selection.
Have heard GA is loaded with good stuff currently so hoping to find something. We really don't see shit here. Are any of those places you mentioned close to STP or somewhat easy to get to? Someone also had mentioned to me Citi in Sandy Springs.
Citi doesn’t let any of their good stuff hit the shelf. Never hurts to ask, but I lived down the street from them for a couple years and never had any luck.
Local Vine is a couple minutes from the ballpark while SWOB and Big A are 10-15 minutes away.
Speaking of bourbon in Georgia, I stopped at a store not far from Chattanooga that had four bottles of 107 on the shelf.
Same price for Blanton's.
Dude said their Weller Blue was coming today as well as CYPB.
$500 a bottle
Louis is gonna not so politely tell you to go fuck yourself
Can’t find the scotch thread but pretty psyched to drink this.
Nice sun roofs homie
Lol, I had no idea it got the reflection. Was so excited by the purchase.
I’m planning to buy that once it comes out in PA
Edit: it’s out and it’s $300. Probably pass. The 16 year is $90 and coming soon.
Friend of a friend bought a liquor store. This should be interesting.
So far the only stuff I’ve been able to secure is Sazerac rye (first time having it, delicious) and EH Taylor.
Have I mentioned recently how beautiful you are?
Big EH Taylor fan
Yeah tornado warehouse C and amaranth are pretty good, ya know?
I read this and immediately started zooming in on the bottles to scope his mug. Then noticed the mirror. Nothing. Then I went
Local store just posted they got a bunch of Blantons's in so I know where I am going after work....Then they also posted they got A Midwinter Nights Dram in....Damnit wasn't planning on spending alot of money today.
Entered the Oregon bottle lottery. They have a 10 yr Single Barrel Mithers Rye (125), Old Forester BB (100), and the Game of Thrones sctoch pack for $410.
Here's to hoping for some luck gents.
I have a bottle of midwinter nights dram from last year. Waiting of the weather to switch to fall to open that bottle; which by Mobile standards will be mid Jan.
MWND tastes like Christmas in a bourbon bottle.
They sold out of Blantons but I did get a bottle of MWND!
I just went to the liquor store to pickup a few things and I can't believe how prices are going through the roof. This new tariff is not going to help either. I finished a bottle of Kentucky Owl Rye tonight, and they had a couple there at $600 a piece. I definitely paid between $100 and $150 for the last one. God damn macallan 21 was $1000. Blanton's which back in the day was a dime a dozen was nowhere to be seen. I actually wanted to pickup a bottle of Blantons, because I literally have a shot glass left worth in a bottle I bought 20 years ago. I am also waiting on a bottle of Michters toasted barrel rye which I love. I just bought these cool Blantons coasters for my office so figured I needed a new bottle. Anyone have any idea of Blantons pricing these days or where it can be found?
$65 here in Atlanta area. Not easy to find. Apparently all the stores around me got delivery yesterday and sold out.
I wish I had a crystal ball 25 years ago or one of those back to the future books on whiskey pricing. $65 is not bad.
