Considering the relationship he and Baker have, I’m not sure there’s another option right now.

Keep him as OC and he’s probably gone sooner than later if he continues on this trajectory. The danger, of course, being that this has been an extremely small sample size and nobody knows how he’ll handle the responsibility that comes with being a HC.

Interesting. nFL network was making it seem like stefanski was coming back for second HC interview. Folks are saying it's to be OC though?

Has spoken to some of the coaching staff regarding their status.

One coach tells theOBR that he believes a decision is coming within 48 hours, but they have not been told.

TheOBR has been told many of the offensive staff have been asked to stay/hold tight - - - the same doesn't appear to be the case on the defensive side of the ball, though we don't have specifics.

We are working to gain additional information.

If this happens I swear the Browns among other teams are just trying their best to hire the youngest HC possible.

Baker sets NFL record for rookie QB TDs
Only 3 times do Ravens give up 300 yards to a team, 2 are Baker
    Baker loves Kitchens

Browns front office: Yeah but look at this 36 year old guy with almost the exact same OC experience who coached Kirk Cousins to a worse win % than Baker

I’m cautiously optimistic. I’m not 100% sure he’s ready to be a Head Coach...and his strength was calling plays, which he won’t be doing anymore.

    We’ll see..

My only hesitation is what many are saying, that we just don't 100$% know what Kitchens will bring as a HC. We knew what Williams as HC and Kitchens as OC was like, and it was pretty damn good. What does changing that dynamic do? Can Kitchens step in and run with it, or is there some growing pain there? What happens on the defensive side of the ball?

I like the hire, I think it was the right move, it's got big potential. But there is still some fear of the unknown.

I would be a big fan of wilks or Bowles. I like that Wilkes primarily uses a 4-3, but I'm sure Bowles would adjust his scheme just fine if needed.

    Like Hue?

    Lot’s of NFL coaches don’t call plays. Maybe a few do...but they’re also experienced HC’s...not 1st timers.

haha you used Hue as a rebuttal? Hate to break it to you, but 14/32 head coaches in the NFL called plays last year... http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/...n-mcvay-head-coaches-who-call-offensive-plays

Think they are all experienced? Here are 1st time head coaches that call plays:
    Sean McVay
    Matt Nagy
    Frank Reich
    Doug Pederson
    Kyle Shanahan
    Bill O'Brien
    Mike McCarthy
    Adam Gase

    DB Coach
Texans: Joseph’s secondary contributed to the team allowing the third-fewest passing yards per game (203.5) during that three-year stretch
Bengals: Guiding a unit that contributed to a league-best 41 interceptions during that span.
    DC
Dolphins: Despite having to use 13 different starting lineups due to injury, Joseph’s defense ranked fourth in the NFL on third downs (36.2%) while forcing the sixth-most negative plays (107) in the league. The Dolphins won nine of their final 11 regular-season games in 2016 with Joseph’s defense accounting for the fourth-most takeaways (21) in the NFL during that stretch.

My only hesitation is that he’s a 3-4 guy. I don’t want to take away what makes Larry and Garrett great.
