the nice thing about second round picks, is there is ALWAYS players that leave you thinking "how the heck is he still here" on draft day. Everyone wants to drum up 50 players for the first round potential, but its impossible. Everytime they talk about a guy improving to first round status, they aren't talking about whose place he is taking. We should be able to get a good starter with that pick. (maybe not this year, but over his career).
So fucking excited by the uniform news. I loved the old ones so so much and hate the new ones so so much.
I feel pretty sure it won't be our color rush jerseys but it'll be pretty similar to those and the ones I posted.
color rush are far more palatable than our regular unis, but i really don't see any good reason not to go back to the originals.
Spoiler Before OBJ Trade & FA Signing.... JaredKMueller (2023) 47 months User Tools Mar 28, 3:31 PM VIP I'm told the Browns had conversations with the Miami Dolphins about moving up to #13 to select a falling... ... Ed Oliver. The Browns, at the Combine specifically, thought he could fall that far unless the Bills swiped him up. The Browns did not believe they could get a fair deal done with either the Broncos or Bengals and the Packers relationships are still iffy at best, overall, so the Dolphins were a team they targeted given the expectation of them rebuilding. Oliver's Combine, Pro Day and, most importantly, game tape should put any chance of him "falling" that far to rest but there is still a chance he could be there at 13 as the Browns expected. With the OBJ trade and signing Richardson, the Browns are not likely to pursue the huge cost it would take to move up that far. The interesting question is whether they would have traded up for him AFTER signing Richardson if they didn't make the OBJ trade? The answer is probably closer to yes than no.
Spoiler Browns bringing in... Tony Pauline (754) 38 months User Tools Mar 28, 2:20 PM VIP Juan Thornhill/DB/Virginia for an official visit. I've mentioned him several times on the ATI forum. Tough, smart and had a great combine- ran much faster than expected. Second round target.
Spoiler Another second day target for the Browns Tony Pauline (754) 38 months User Tools Mar 28, 1:51 PM VIP Isaiah Johnson/CB/Houston. Solid corner with excellent size who had an insane combine. Browns used a formal interview on him at the combine and belief is they will also use an official visit on him. Adds size to the secondary.
Spoiler Two tight end targets for the Browns Tony Pauline (754) 38 months User Tools Mar 27, 7:35 PM VIP Team is expressing a lot of interest in both these prospects: Kahale Warring/San Diego State & Dax Raymond/Utah State. Both are similar players- very athletic TE's who can split the seam but need to improve their blocking strength. Warring has a third round grade while Raymond is more of a 4th round guy.
We have also been in contact with both the agent for Eric Berry and Tre Boston. Boston played for Wilks in Carolina and Arizona...would be a good fit. Lane eluded to be close a deal with FA that could happen early next week - my guess is Boston. Also, the rumors about a possible trade for Lee won't go away either.
Spoiler ADKINSra (6871) 35 months Reply Quote I state without the slightest reservation, the Browns are interested in moving back into the first round. I can also state with certainty, the Browns have legitimate interest in Simmons.

Spoiler On the Unis... JaredKMueller (2031) 47 months User Tools 8 hours ago VIP I've not been watching too closely what information is out there from the new uniforms but here are a few things I can report based on sources: "Sharp but simple." "The accents (on the uniforms) MAKE them." I can also confirm grey has not been added. Not gun metal, not regular grey, not matte grey. The finish of the helmet (matte, glossy, whatever) may change.
It's still surreal that we just traded for a bona fide super star essentially entering the prime of his career who seems super excited and fired up to be here. It's just... awesome.
This is who we took in the mock on here. His versatility is impressive. He can play deep middle or near the line, I think he'd play a lot as a rookie
I’m good with Ogbah, Louis, and Kindred being released. No real dead cap on any of them. Louis stole money for three years. Never did anything.
Peppers was No. 19 PFF safety. This cat was 50 but I’m sure it makes sense from a monetary standpoint or something.
Young DB that has progressively seen more action in his first three years? Yeah, I’ll take a flyer on him for cheap. Beats what Ogbah was going to bring us. Plus, I think this kid is a depth kid, not a starter.
Eric Murray was the guy that single handedly gave the Raiders a win on TNF 2 years ago because he couldn't stop holding. Chiefs were probably gonna cut him after the draft. So this is probably an equal trade for both sides.
