With 1 career pick!
I don't feel like a CB was that much of a need compared to other areas we could have improved.
Any time you can pass on a starter at WR in the 2nd round so you can grab a 5th round corner in the 3rd round when you already have 5 better than him on the roster….you just have to do it.
Projection: Average Backup Or Special-Teamer
Long, finesse cornerback with traits and talent to compete in full-field, press-man coverage. Emerson has patient feet to maintain positioning against the release and uses length and positioning for catch disruptions. He's indecisive in his angles to the throw, missing out on interception opportunities. His run support issues will most certainly hurt his draft standing with some teams. Emerson isn't well-rounded but he has enough cover talent to make a team. -- Chad Reuter
I was sitting here watching Dean fall and thinking I was going to make fun of you guys so bad if they traded back, got 2 picks and got Dean. Then they drafted that guy and I’m laughing but it’s a sad laugh
This team should move to Syria
He's gonna suck here, I'm certain of it

Alright, 1/3 is about par.
The first two guys we took are going to be out of the league in 3 years though so yolo
We could have had David Ojabo, Nakobe Dean, and David Bell and instead we ended up with two complete melvins and Bell
You’re acting like the Browns are the only team to pass on Dean. He fell to the mid 3rd. Something is up
If we didn't take Dean, fine, take someone else who can help your team.
Not to mention that we're likely going to end up eating all of Baker's salary now which is not ideal.
What specifically is your issue with the DE?
The DB pick looks awful
I don't think he's helping this team win next year or probably the year after.
Why would the Browns overdraft a CB? No trust in Greedy or Newsome?
In addition to what I consider reaching, the biggest issue is it looks like there's no path forward from moving on from Baker without eating most/all of his cap.
Give me Perrion Winfrey and the Punt God with our first two picks tomorrow.
Because those LSU defensive backs break a bone with the slightest wind breeze.
Because the NFL is now a passing league and you can't have too many good CB's.
Denzel Ward had 2 career INT's in college.
I'm not saying this kid will be great or even good. I'm just saying that isn't always a good measuring stick.
He was #1 in the SEC and #3 in the NCAA in passes defended in 2020. He also was #9 in the SEC in solo tackles.
We passed up DE's Ojabo, Paschal, Jackson, Bitoni; WR's Pickens & Moore for a CB and 2 4th round picks. Time will tell with the these moves.
Ojabo is obviously coming off of a torn achillies and that is a crap shoot for a team. DE's rely on explosion and there is no guarantee his explosion returns after the injury. Paschal is a sneaky good DE, but lots of injuries throughout his college career.
The lack of urgency for DE tells me that maybe Clowney is already signed behind the scenes. Either way, it tells me there is another plan for DE and Berry has been great at filling team needs every off-season.
The Steelers have a way of getting really good, productive WR's in the 2nd round...and they get another potential one with Pickens. The rub with Pickens is that he is a walking, talking human red flag. Terrible person with zero maturity. That definitely was an issue for teams. Maybe he turns it around in Pitt or maybe be continues to be a shit head and never realizes his potential. Definitely a crap shoot with him.
Speed, speed, speed and separation, separation, separation...that is what I've been preaching on WR's most important traits in today's passing offenses. Whelp, KC, a team who knows a little something about WR's with those traits, goes and gets one of the best in the draft in Moore after we passed. We might regret passing here a lot more than passing on Pickens.
Bell is an interesting study. Very productive while lacking speed and separation ability. I saw a stat that said he had the most contested catches in P5 over the last 2 or 3 years, which is good...but it's because he lacks speed and separation ability; which is not good. It's going to be a lot tougher to make those catches in the NFL than against B1G CB's. That having been said, he is ironically a lot like a WR we just let walk in Landry. A cheaper, younger version in all reality. I don't hate the pick considering the position we got him. Late 3rd round is good value for Bell overall.
Emerson and Weaver are both developmental guys. I don't love them at all. You can't have too many good CB's in today's passing NFL. Weaver needs time. Neither will be ready to make a significant impact right away IMO.
I'll wait and see the totality of the draft before I stand on the ledge.
Like the David Bell pick, ok with the high risk/reward of the Alex Wright pick, not a fan of the Emerson pick. Seems like a corner that lacks speed.
With Harrison on a 1 year deal, I wonder if they look at him as a future Safety. Could explain the pick and make it more attractive IMO.
Yeah. The Browns definitely dodged a bullet with Pickens. No room for terrible people on this roster!
Thought it was a tough night for Berry
IMO on paper he did not improve the team, 44 might be Cleveland’s highest pick for the next few years and I felt that pick needed to yield a sure starter. Stashing Ojabo was the move IMO.
Biggest failure was not moving Mayfield.
Winfrey seems like good value this late
I agree. Last two picks are better than the first two.
Perrion could be a monster if he applies himself. Took plays off at OU. Inconsistent production.
Hopefully being around guys like Myles can help him grow up and mature.
Definitely a great pickup in round 4.
#LSU Tigers tell us about this K
Probably going to get injured
Stefanski saw this as an excuse to go for it any time FG would be 40-49
Best K in the draft.
What’s this nonsense? I assume they like Green in the slot?
I mean he's on the wrong side of 30
If he's any good at all he'll be my favorite player
Reminds me of this
We're just gonna draft all the Oklahoma dipshits
Big effort by Berry to keep the OU fans after Baker
Picks I loved: Bell, Winfrey, York
Picks I don’t love or hate: Wright, Woods, Deaton
Picks I didn’t like: Emerson, Ford, Thomas
Things I hated: trading out of the second round
Things I really hated: watching the other AFC contenders play it smart and significantly improve. The Ravens draft particularly makes me sad.
I don't understand the Jerome Ford pick.
How does he make the team
Probably practice squad… both Hunt and Johnson are out of a contract after this season.
we could also see Johnson released or traded this summer, similar to Hodge last year. Would free up 2.5m in cap space
Twitter rumors suggesting we open the year at home vs Pittsburgh.
We've got to win week one at some point, right?
