Would you take Ohio State's top 3 WRs (JSN, Egbuka, and Marvin Harrison) over the Browns (Cooper, DPJ, and Bell)?
That, and a bunch of 1st round talents at a position where there's less need to "grow into a man's body" than any other.
I got 2-9 during the suspension 2-4 after the suspension Karma is going to be a loss to Baker and Carolina in week 1
We are absolutely not winning week 1. Good Baker that shows up 2-3 times a year will be there and will kill us and the national media will laugh at us.
baker is the same old trash can and it doesn't matter because our loser genes are unmatched. i fucking despise this franchise
Ayyyyy 1-0. My stream was dogshit so missed a good bit. How was Brissett overall? Was Stefanski really going to go for it on 4th at the end of the first half?
Brissett was pretty bad overall. Missed a lot of wide open guys both with throws and not seeing them in his reads. He settled down some in the 2nd half and of course drove them down the field for the winning FG. He received a lot of criticism yesterday, but we have to remember that 1) he took almost no reps in preseason and hasn't started a game since 11/11/2021. He really has to get used to game speed again and has to build some rapport with his WR's, 2) I think most forget that there was a TON of pressure on his shoulders to win that football game. You can see the emotion come out in his post game presser. Hopefully, with that game behind him, he settles in and just plays football. No, Stefanski was not going to go for it on 4th down at the end of the 1st half. He went for it early because it was going to be a 50+ yard FG for Cade. He didn't want Cade's 1st attempt to be that long; remember, he missed them all (50+) in pregame. He said he wanted Cade to see the ball go through the uprights a couple of times (extra points, shorter FG's) to build some confidence before putting him out there for a long one. I think that was a great strategy to build confidence in the young kicker...and it worked. You can also see the pressure off of Stefanski in the post game presser. This was an absolute must win game for Stefanski and he knew it and felt it. Hopefully, with this game behind us, we can refocus and just play the football we are capable of. First victory Monday after opening day since 2004 and first victory Monday after a road opening day since 1994. Definitely going to enjoy this win today.
Hopefully we never have to talk about him again unless it's just in the bigger context of the Browns beating the Steelers in Ben's last home playoff game
The Browns scored 26 points yesterday in a game in which Brissett did not play very well. With Baker under center in 2021, the Browns scored 26 point or more only 5 times in 14 games (Keenum started 3 games).
