I was pleasantly surprised by Johnny. Not his fault Farmer has given him zero weapons to work with. Offensive line was also horrible. Shelton played pretty okay.
1. Jets D line is very good 2. Downgrade at OC/Offensive system 3. Went from 1 viable offensive weapon (Cameron) to zero.
I was once like you. Then I decided to never give a dime of my money or a second of my time to that team until they got their shit together. Join me on the dark side, faggots.
The good news is we should be the front runners for the #1 overall pick in the draft. The bad news is it's pretty much a guarantee that we'll fuck it up
Tampa still holds that. They were the worst last year and got their asses kicked by last years 2nd worst team
I don't there is anything close to an elite #1 QB prospect. We'll definitely get #1 if that's the case.
So do your coaches just not like Crowell? I have him in fantasy and he looked good last year towards the end of the year, thought he looked solid in the preseason then today he gets a few touches, get 20 yards and Duke Johnson basically plays the rest of the game.
Yea I just saw that. I didn't think he carried it that many times. But regardless, the Jets front 7 is pretty stout against the run so I didn't expect much from him this week. I guess the better question is, how high on Duke Johnson is your coach? Kid can be electric but he's also been injured quite a bit and not sure he has the durability to be a consistent back in the NFL. I'll sit Crowell next few weeks and see what the coaches decide to do with him. I expect a better showing against Tennessee from both backs and will probably be a little easier to judge who's deserving of the starting role.
Really? I remember Seahawks coaches being pretty high on Turbin when he came in and then he just kinda disappeared. Though playing behind Lynch that's pretty easy to do.
He's been their #2 his whole time there carries wise and caught a decent number of passes. I might be full of shit I just see him getting a chance if no one has grabbed the job by then which I'm not expecting anyone to
I fully expect Johnson to get hurt before the season ends. I don't wish that on him but his track record says giving him a lot of looks typically ends bad for him. I'll keep Turbin on the watch list and see what happens. I just think it's kinda early to give up on Crowell after playing a solid jets defense. Probably the most physical back yall have which may work in his favor if the o line doesn't improve.
I like Cro and he is part of why Tate (along with his attitude) and West have been let go or traded He made them expendable. I think he can be good but unless the OL does a lot better any RB is going to have trouble which is why I think it'll still be up in the air when Turbin is healthy (lack of playmakers at TE/WR don't help the matter)
When you know you've only got Maziel behind you, why even do this shit? Especially in the first quarter of the first game of the year.
https://nflmidwest.wordpress.com/20...manziel-can-play-haden-bad-offense-offensive/ Blog I have been working on. Feel free to leave input.
So I just got some crazy news. Pettine is flying my little brother and his college roommate to the game Sunday (Brother's roommate is best friends with Pettine's daughter from HS in Baltimore area). Flying out of BWI, will be on the field before the game and is staying in the Coaches suite during the game. Staying at Pettine's house after the game. Yeah, I'm pretty jealous.
This is why we're Cleveland. After a promising start, we're going to sit Johnny on the bench and waste another year not knowing what we have at QB. I'm not saying he's going to be the savior or anything, but it would at least be nice to know what direction we need to go in at the position.
It's what they've said all along so you shouldn't be surprised. Fans are going to turn on McCown so quick Sunday. Wish this was away
Before Dump comes and picks a fight with me I'm not saying they are smart, I'd prefer Manziel were starting. I'm just not surprised since they said right away when he went out he'd be the starter when he came back
I'm good with McCown starting. He was the clear #1 all through camp and had a good opening drive against the Jets before getting hurt. Manziel played decent last week, but not enough for me to be upset at this decision.
Just to be clear.. you're saying "Fuck this franchise" because they aren't starting Johnny Manziel? Wait, what?
