Want to build an emulator to play games on my tv. Don't have a CPU.

Cheap option? Anyone want to tell me the best way? Wish I could by one preloaded

So like a cheap pc build just for emulators?

I guess. Want something I can hook up tv and just play retro games by the ass load.

I'm not tech savvy at all

You have a few options. A raspberry pi type device if you dont care about n64 or later games. A low end pc or cheap laptop for the most expensive option. But the best optiom imo is a nintendo wii, not even joking. They're cheap as fuck, can run n64 and ps1 shit, ds too kind of. It's a pretty simple process.

Haven't tried yet. Keep putting it off.

Really just want to buy a preloaded one and be done with it.

I've seen boxes that basically come loaded with all the programs and equipment but you'll still have to load the ROMS. I think the selling of ROMS can get you into a legal issue so they leave it up to the consumer for the most part.
