Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Clinical by Bastian. If I'm starting a team him and Muller are 2 guys I 100% take at their positions. 95% of players don't even make that run to the backpost and the majority of them would blow the opportunity. He made it look easy. Not a great performance from Bayern. Klose didn't do much, Ribery was on/off, same with Kroos, and Muller/Bastian were good but nowhere near their best. Good result though. I think Wolfsburg has the potential for top 4 w/o a doubt.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread ribery would never play for low's germany way too much head down dribbling
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Ribery just doesn't fit that well. Robben's headdown dribbling works because he has a lethal shot and doesn't lose the ball constantly like Ribery. He gets upfield and gets into a ton of open space. Robben will actually pass it first, Ribery just puts his head down and starts dribbling nearly every time.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Saturday's scores: Hamburg 2-1 Schalke Hoffenheim 4-1 Werder Bremen Monchengladbach 1-1 Nurnberg Koln 1-3 Kaiserslauten Freiburg 1-3 St. Pauli Hannover 2-1 Eintracht Frankfurt
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread my hamburg prediction looking pretty strong with the other three contenders all losing. bundesliga could be in for a ruud awakening. though it is just week one lol.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread bundesliga table after today... 1. Hoffenheim 2. K'lautern 3. St. Pauli :oshit:
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Frings (pen) Demba Ba Mlapa Ibisevic Salihovic Sukuta-Pasu got one in his game. Cologne saw red for Youssef Mohamad about a hundred seconds into that game for a two-footed tackle.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Wished he lived in America a little longer, we might've had a chance to get him.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Haven't seen anything official yet, but there's a report that Diego was taking a physical with Wolfsburg today.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Yea I saw that and Silvestre may be coming on at Bremen. Demichelis has been left out of the FCB squad for the 2nd straight week and is virtually guaranteed to be out by the deadline. Ribery accepted a 3-match ban from the FFF, despite his name never once surfacing amongst the drama that took place in SA.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread This week's games: Friday Kaiserslauten vs. Bayern Saturday Nurnberg vs. Freiburg Schalke vs. Hannover Werder Bremen vs. Koln Wolfsburg vs. Mainz Eintracht Frankfurt vs. hamburg St. Pauli vs. Hoffenheim Sunday Bayer Leverkusen vs. Monchengaldbach Stuttgart vs. Dortmund
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Kaiserslauten just scored 2 goals in like a 2 minute span against Bayern
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Mikael Silvestre has agreed a deal to join Werder Bremen, according to Sky Sports. Bremen confirmed their interest in the Frenchman earlier this week as they look to bolster their defensive options.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Schalke signed Romanian winger Ciprian Deac from Cluj, Ghanaian RB Hans Sarpei from Leverkusen, and are trying to sign Rafael van der Vaart.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Diego tore it up when he was at Werder, gonna be fun to watch him play with Dzeko and Grafite.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread theyve generated tons of chances in this half already and should have at least 1 goal, but imo theyre playing the wrong formation doing like a 4-4-2 with muller roaming behind or to the side of olic and klose sorta i guess
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread kroos on olic off back to the 4-2-3-1 with klose up top and kroos in the whole it would seem, bayern's best formation
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread keeper absolutely robs kroos of a low volley goal headed on from muller
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread I remember reading high praise about Kaiserslauten's GK, Tobias Sippel, because his backup until this season was American, Luis Robles (now at Karlsruher in BL2). He's definitely made some good saves, and is 22 y/o.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread This is an abomination of finishing. The lack of an elite striker is gonna hurt Bayern this year.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Gotta have a new GK and better defenders than two guys with less than 10 1st division games under their belt starting on the back line. Kaiserslautern Bayern Munich Shots (on Goal) 11(2) 20(3) Corner Kicks 7 7 Offsides 3 3 Time of Possession 28% 72% don't know how we managed to let two in in under 60 seconds. add a lack of finishing a we could have more issues than we thought coming in. although guys gotta remember FCB has started slow each of the past 3 seasons, failing to win more than a few of the first 10 or so games. looks like they need some more time to gel/recover.
Re: '10-'11 Bundesliga Thread Saturday scores Schalke 1-2 Hannover (Jermaine Jones scored) Werder 4-2 Koln Wolfsburg 3-4 Mainz (Wolfsburg was up 3-0) Eintracht 1-3 Hamburg Nurnberg 1-2 Freiburg St. Pauli 0-1 Hoffenheim
