Those televised or nah? Also DFB Pokal final is July 4th at 2:00, live from the house that hitler built in Berlin.
Being new to this and looking back it's really shocking how awful it's gotten. Good, young players leaving on frees with possibly the most bloated wage bill in Europe. It's truly staggering how fucked the club is. There is some younger talent there like Harit, Wes, Kutucu, and Kabak but w/ how they've handled Nubel, Goretzka, etc I have no faith that they won't run down their contracts and leave too.
They always produce young talent. Their academy is one of the best but, for whatever reason, they’ve let these studs walk on frees and not even bothered to sign anyone or promote from within.
Frankly, they got bailed out by City wanting Sane or else he probably would have left on a free to Bayern a few season ago too. Not sure how closely you follow it but the academy isn't what it used to be... just hope they can stay up long enough to get things moving in the right direction.
All good points. It’s at the point now where just bringing up academy talent isn’t a guarantee that you’ll stay in the top tier. Even the smaller clubs are bringing in talent from abroad. No excuse for the larger clubs not to.
And goddamn that guy was a shitbag of a human being. I knew what he said but didn’t realize he ran a sweatshop meat packing plant as his day job. He also managed to finish the 2019 Schalke season a mere €180mil in the red. How the fuck?
Thank god they didn’t violate the +1 rule or the stadium full of no fans because of covid would fly an offensive banner
When I see Bayern academy kids starting and playing well for second division teams in promotion games....
Heidenheim equalize in the 85th with a rocket off the woodwork and in. Need another because Bremen away goal
So first Bayern signs Schalke's current goalkeeper to a precontract. Then Schalke doesn't want to be the club that Bayern unloads their now unwanted backup goalkeeper on...and Schalke are to blame? Bayern gonna Bayern.
For free and paid salary? He’s better than what they’ve got. Schalke is hundreds of millions in debt. But yeah, fuck Bayern.
Just because Bayern created a vacuum at keeper doesn't mean Schalke have to sit there in gratitude and take Bayern's table scraps. The ability of Bayern to make everything they do seem like a big favor to other Bundesliga clubs will never cease to amaze me.
They want schwolow, who is going to be hella expensive. Ulreich is a good keeper and a better teammate and wouldn’t cost them anything. He’s better than what they’ve got now. The board is trying to find him a place to get minutes. I’ve heard Schalke and Hertha. Obviously not Schalke now.
