the offense seems really inconsistent, either on or off. Embarrassing to get shut down by Merrill Kelly. Man, I really want to move on from Lamonte Wade. He stinks. I know we have that stud waiting in the wings in the minors, but we really should be tried to upgrade the 1B position this offseason. It didn't have to be Alonso, but anyone would have been a major upgrade. I saw somewhere that Wade had one of the worst WARs in baseball among guys getting regular playing time.
Yeah Wade’s tough luck outs and JHL’s regression have sapped any offensive momentum we had in April. Sucks
Yeah I would build around JLH, Chapman, and Adames, but everyone else is replaceable. Yaz has had a wonderful start but he's older and they really should be looking to upgrade offensively nearly everywhere. 1B and OF really could use some help, and I am not a believer in Fitzgerald. Hopefully get to the all-star break in contention and make some moves. We don't have to give up the farm to upgrade most of these guys.
Add Ramos to that core group and you’ve got half the lineup. He’s been pretty good so far this season.
