Modern Warfare Remastered, the new version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, will include 10 multiplayer maps from the 2007 original. Three of these--Crash, Backlot, and Crossfire--were announced earlier this week. Now, two more have been revealed as part of a new Forbes story. The two new ones are Bog and Overgrown, according to the report. Activision says all of Modern Warfare Remastered's 10 maps are "fan-favorites," and indeed, the five announced so far fit that description. Activision will announce the remaining five maps in the time ahead.
They could have just put out the remastered COD 4 and skip infinite wars and no one would have gave two shits about not having a new COD.
CoD sales but hopefully the backlash for this and the excitement behind the new Battlefield will encourage future CoD development twords a trip to the past.
Past or now is the only thing i can get behind. The future stuff gets so retarded and overblown its not at all fun. These games should reward skill. The more future stuff they add the less skill it takes.
I missed out on CoD 4 and got into the series with MW2, so I'm pretty pumped about getting to play it now.

i only ever play rocket league anymore the last couple versions of CoD i have been horrible and haven't played them at all since initial release

Meh choke points and cover make for a more enjoyable experience in COD. MW2 and 3 thi were the absolute worst violators of this practice anyway pearl
So it looks like weapons and gear are going to possibly be class restricted? Kinda like Overwatch? If so that's going to be a shitshow with CoD gamers in random public matches. No way anyone is using a support character that doesn't get all of the kills.
To be fair, COD has been a shitshow the past few titles. When they started letting people walk on buildings and jetpacks they went to just a all out shitshow of people running and shooting around corners. Thats why I loved the COD4, it was simple there were no special classes with crazy perks and there were just 3 kill streaks, plus the maps weren't just a giant maze with 10 different ways to get somewhere, you had to work somewhat as a team to win.
There have been rumblings that later they will release COD4 remastered separately. My guess is that it will be a few months though.
It's really fun if you can get a good group of 4. The Easter eggs and building all the weapons and stuff is fun plus it's really hard because you are dealing with zombies on your ass the whole time. You get really really good at headshots playing it.
Is it a separate purchase? I don't like buying games digitally because I like to be able to trade them in on other ones when I'm done with them or don't like them.
