Anyone have any clue what it would cost to have a car repainted? There’s a new Palisade Calligraphy here in town that is perfect aside from the burgundy color so I’m just curious what that would even run
That’s what I assumed, just had no clue if it were common. I figured not, otherwise it would be talked about much more
Haven’t perused thread at all but what do my tmb bros know about the Rav4 hybrid? Worth the money? That mpg is rad.
We just had another child, so my wife traded in her Telluride, which had appreciated, for the new Kia Carnival. It’s pretty sweet for a minivan. I am now officially old af tho.
My RAV4 Prime is getting delivered to the dealer next week. My cousin loves his RAV4 hybrid as well. But the prime made much more sense to me for my usecase and cheaper than a conventional hybrid after the tax breaks
People get really hung up on vans, but they are by far the most efficient transport. 20 years ago they were a little bit rustic but nowadays they are basically a luxury car. It's always a better investment than an suv. Plus, if you need to haul things, take all the seats out and you have a truck.
Also, did you cross shop the Carnival? We're probably going to replace our ancient Odyssey in the next year, but I'm looking at all brands/models.
Lmao exactly. “Hey, instead of me buying a truck let’s get a minivan! It’ll be just like a truck if we take the seats out!”
Didn’t know you were in the business. What’s the turn around time like on Telluride preorders in this market?
Who is paying 175k for the Aston Martin SUV? Seen a few on the road lately and they’re fine but I’d never spend that kind of $$ on one. The interior looks about on par with a Mazda.
I mean, I wouldn't want to haul a few cubic yards of topsoil in mine, but it's no problem putting in a bunch of OSB or 4x8 sheets.
I've hauled plywood, concrete retaining wall blocks, bark chips, river rock, a modular kayak, and garden waste in my Odyssey. It also seats six comfortably (eight in a pinch)
I am looking to sell my car in 2-3 weeks. Not a trade-in, just doing a cash sale. What's the best medium? Like autotrader or something? Something more reliable for used cars? Hoping for $7,500 - $10,000, and a bit concerned about how to guarantee I get paid. Help.
was faced with this situation a few years back. carmax offered the most (far more than dealer on trade in) and they cut a check the same day. make sure to bring the title.
Sold my Subaru to the dealer in town. They blew carmax’s offer away. Had the check in hand when I left.
2/3 months I did get a order in on a S on 8/7 and it got in on 9/21...the norm is 2/3 months right now though.
Nah, especially to the manufacturer because they can squeeze more out of their own brand. I got 12,500. KBB was 12-13 trade, 13-14 private. It was totally worth it to just be done right then and there. Carmax offered 9 and change a block away.
I’ve heard terrible things about their reliability, but I love the look of the new Land Rover defender.
Saw one on the street the other day. Looked pretty awesome. It’s definitely a 1-2 year and bail brand from what I’ve heard.
Get on online quote from Carvana, Vroom, and Carmax before going to a dealer. All you have to do is enter the vin or your tag number and answer a few questions. That way you know if the dealer offer can be beat.
Facebook marketplace and Craigslist. It’s not difficult to sell a vehicle privately. Plenty of YouTube and blogs about some of the small details like how to draft a bill of sale, timeline and steps for the transaction, etc. No harm if you want to sell to a dealer, but 100% of the time you’ll get more from a private sale.
Also AutoLendersGo is a good one. I sold one last year through them. Got a good price, had a bunch of questions and just called them direct and talked to a rep, and literally never had to back the car out of the garage until the tow truck showed up.
I see some hyundai Santa Cruz around town. They look like a cool little truck. Remind me of the Subaru Baja.
Looking at getting a 2022 Telluride and everyone I’m finding is priced like $10,000 over msrp, is there any way around this? I don’t have to buy one but looking at upgrading my wife’s vehicle and that’s what we’re interested in
You could try shopping a bunch of dealers and knock some of it off, but you're mostly fucked for now.
Welcome to the car market. It's brutal right now. I'm doing backflips I got $1500 off sticker for my lease.
Bought my wife a 2017 BMW X3 35i m-sport a few days ago. Great rig We were hoping to get a 2018+ Volvo XC60 T6 inscription but the prices have just gone crazy. Spoiler
