It's the least firm that I've tried (also incl. T&N Original, Leesa, Nolah). It does sleep quite cool. The edge support is very good, thanks to it being 2" thicker than the others and having a very dense base. The build quality isn't as good as the others. The base layer bulges at the ends and I think is a little wider than the other layers as well. I've only had it a couple weeks, but at this point I'd recommend the Nolah and T&N Original over it. That's primarily due to it just having a bit too much give for my liking. Edit: I also don't think it's worth the like $300 premium over the original.
They both have about equal firmness to my memory but: Nolah: premium feel and better cooling T&N Original: cheaper
I can give a 9 month update on the T&N. It's a bit on the firm side for my liking. I've stayed at a few airbnbs with casper mattresses and I've liked those more.
To their credit, they sent me one for free. We didn't really like the feel, so we stopped using it. It's otherwise a good mattress and company for those who like it firm
Yes. Are you going to order from Amazon instead of T&N. Think they have different return policies, so be aware.
we bought a zinus memory foam for our second spare bedroom. Have had it for 2 months and it still smells.
new material that smells like chemicals. It was supposed to go away after several days but hasn’t. Supposedly enzyme spray can get rid of it, but haven’t done it yet since the room doesn’t get used much.
Been about 6 months since we got the Saatava Luxury Firm king mattress. It’s been awesome, and can’t recommend it enough. More expensive than the Casper, T&N and the like, but still much cheaper than comparable store bought mattresses. It was $1400, and that includes the delivery, set-up and removal of your old mattress. We tried all the foam mattresses mentioned in this thread but neither of us liked the feel of all foam. Didn’t like the all latex either. The Saatva is a hybrid and was just right.
Anyone heard of Nolah? Saw it mentioned on reddit, supposed to be good for side sleeping. This mattress-in-a-box market is saturated and online reviews are kinda bullshit.
What box springs are y’all using for these mattresses? I just bought a nest, but still need a foundation for it.
Bought a Nectar mattress for my new house. Only slept on it for about a week but love it so far. Very firm and only paid 600 for a king
I think if you have the money and means then a top of the line serta or similar is still better. the box mattress market just raises the floor and lowers the cost of entry significantly for a quality mattress.
I'd disagree on the firmness, at least with regard to the Leesa and T&N Original. I found myself sinking into those more than the Mint. Edge support is fantastic & it definitely sleeps cool.
Bought a Purple in January, and recently started having some issues with it. Customer service replaced it within days with one of the new ones. It's definitely different than the one we had (Lighter, for starters and definitely sleeps warmer) but we're happy with it so far.
King size sleep number P6 with adjustable base Our current mattress is 17 years old and is beyond done, the sag I the middle has gotten ridiculous (because of all the sex obviously). We got totally honey-dicked into buying it but hopefully it cures some of our sleeping issues.
Something about a "smart bed" just seems weird to me. So you connect your mattress to WiFi? Just a needlessly "smart" appliance.
Wife for whatever reason doesn't want a "mattress in a box"... so does anyone like their Purple mattress? I'd probably go with the 2" comfort grid so it's more firm.
Anyone with a tuft and needle notice a big difference in firmness after the 2 week break in period? It's only been a few nights, and we've been sleeping ok, but waking up with some back stiffness in the morning because of the firmness. Contacted customer service and was told they don't give out free matress toppers anymore to orders purchased through amazon, so SOL there.
Yeah...i had the same. It did go away after a week or two. The did give me the topper a long time ago, but we didn't like it.
Thanks, I think I'll tough it out for a few weeks before we make a desicion then. Are you happy with it overall?
Been on the T&N with free topper for a couple of months now. And tbh it feels unbalanced. We sleep ok but just doesn't feel like even support. Edge support I don't feel it that great. Ultimately this is out guest room mattress we are just using as a test to see what we want when we upgrade our own bedroom. Don't think I will go with one of these "expanding foam" mattresses. Leaning to the Saatva (El Tiburon) or something else with an adjustable base (MoJo)
It's probably a bit too firm for me. If I were to do it again, I'd probably go with either the alexander signature or the loom and leaf
FWIW, got the T&N mattress topper a few months ago because wife was saying it was a bit too firm. Wife absolutely loves the mattress with the topper. I also prefer it with the topper; been getting a lot of comfortable sleep lately, even with chronic back issues
Sorry, forgot to answer this. The bed monitors sleep patterns, heart rate, wakefulness, temperature and gives you a sleep score. The app can also be used to control the adjustable base, which I'm a big fan of. We don't use the foot adjustment very much at all but love using the upper torso section. I agree that it's pretty useless but it comes with the bed we liked the best. Sleep numbers sheets, pillows and covers are also very nice but
Looking at a new king mattress. Anyone recently purchase? Nectar has a lot of positive reviews online.
Just bought a “The Casper” King firm for $1212 and we love it. Pretty sure it would pass the glass of red wine bowling ball drop test from the old mattress commercials. I prefer a firmer mattress and this one is perfect.
We’ve had our basic casper mattress for a year and a half now and still love it. I do think it’s a little too firm for my wife, but it hasn’t bothered her enough to want a mattress topper or to change mattresses.
2 year check in on the T&N. It's still uncomfortably firm if I sleep on it for more than 5-6 hours. Seems like a waste to toss it...has anyone tried a latex topper? The sleeponlatex 2" seems to get good reviews, but I'm not sure if I'd be throwing good money after bad
Two year check in on Tomorrow Sleep mattress, it has hold up and remains comfortable - albeit, not as soft as my wife’s old Beautyrest, but still a comfortable mattress that is great for the price. We chose it over the Leesa hybrid, which could be better.
