My cat has learned that if he wants me to do something while I'm laying on the couch, he can start trying to climb everything in sight and knocking a bunch of shit over and i'll do what he wants
I was thinking the orange looked like a good Crookshanks when I first saw the pics. Those are some good names
Now that I have a house with 2 levels I can say for sure, for someone to go downstairs so he can explore because he’s afraid to do so on his own
Lots of different stuff. Lately it's been going outside for about 45 seconds before turning back around and coming in because it's too cold
Been forever since I’ve had my own kittens/cats, best way to get them to use litter box? I read last night and saw to put them in the box and dig with their front two paws for them. We had a couple accidents through their first night, so just curuous if there’s more I should do
It's been a while since I've helped litter box train, but I seem to remember them just getting the hang of it on their own after a couple of days.
every time we've gotten a new kitten we legit just set them in it once and they've used it from there on no idea if thats atypical or what
I don’t remember it being much different when I was a kid, neither of the two seem to have any interest when I set them in it, I’m sure I’m just overthinking
We’d always put them in a small area (bathroom/laundry room) for a few days and they’d figure it out on their own.
Yeah we just set our cat in it and he figured it out. Also kept him locked up in that room at night for a while since he was so tiny and he didn’t want him getting hurt
The downside of this, he was used to having a light on at night and once he had free roam he was crying every night. I bought a few night lights and problem solved. So now I’ve got night lights all over my house because my cat is afraid of the dark
I would highly recommend the face scratcher to anyone here that didn’t buy one yet. My cat uses it regularly
Our (well my parents but they got them when I still lived at home) first two cats were outdoor 100% of the time until we got them. We just showed them the litterbox and they figured it out, didn't even put them in it. Other two cats we got just figured it out without us doing anything, and one of those was a feral we picked up in the wild so was outdoor 100% until we got him. Perhaps the two older cats showed them the ropes.
Update. We keep them confined to our bedroom most the time due to size and how big one of our dogs is. They were out and about the other day, for this Apologies for the photobucket tag
My good friend from high school got a cat while we were attending UT. He had her for a year before he decided to take a year abroad in Germany. I took the cat on as my ward. When he got back, he decided he wanted to pay $800 for a Husky. So I've had a cat for a decade I never wanted. Love her to bits. My friend didn't name her so I just called her Cat.
Kittay has made the top of the TV receiver her home. Now when I play Xbox, she just stares at me with those judging eyes.
One of my parents’ cats does the same thing, except you can hardly see the box with his fat ass sitting on top of it.
Ahhh. Is it going to be all of them? Shit is honestly no sweat. My cat has zero teeth and gets spoiled with soft food. Outside of that, it's like it never even occurred. And she still goes outdoors and all of that.
