Lets make some talk on what you guys think about some teams you have watched. Overrated Teams: UNC Duke Kansas Detroit Alot of big names there. And the only reason they are ranked as high as they are because of their names. I know UNC returned all 5 but that team wasn't that good last year and picked it up late in season. I still need to see consistency out of that team. Duke & Kansas lost alot of starters from last years team and are just not up there yet. Maybe Detroit is having a bad start but for a good team last year returning all 5 I can't believe they are playing this bad. Underrated Teams: California Missouri Alabama Some Small Schools to Watch Out For: Long Beach State Indiana State Saint Louis Massachusetts UC Santa Barbara Marshall Lehigh South Dakota State New Mexico State
Last night I watched that Cal/Missou game. Game was basically a home game for Mizzou as it was in KC and I'll tell you the refs had to be from there. Every call was going Mizzous way and Cal got flustered early and couldn't get on the right path. Cal's next game is against a good unknown team in Denver in 3 days. Should be a real test for this Cal team to show what they have. The line will probably be around 7-8 and I think I will stick with Cal in that game. Kansas/UCLA: UCLA is not a good team at all. They showed some real heart in making that game close last night but every shot they were taking in that 5 min period was going in. They were hitting 3's like I never have seen. Then they went back to the old UCLA team. They are a BAD team this year. Kansas still is overrated. As much as I think Duke is overrated, they should rout Kansas today
I think UNC is easily the best team in the country so I'll have to disagree with them being overrated. That team can score from anywhere, has the best frontcourt in the country, probably the best SF in the country, and plenty of depth at the sg position. If they hit 3s, they're unbeatable.
I agree. I am very intrigued by this game. We won't get to bet much of Mercer during the year because they are a conference that doesn't have lines usually. SD State usually does so I really want to see what they are made of today
I think Duke's still a Sweet 16/Elite 8 team largely due to coaching, but if they made the Final 4 this year that would take some work. Kind of leaning towards Kansas being better than them, or at least closely matched.
Is it me or does Memphis just recruit the best athletes they can find and hope they can kind of play basketball too? I mean, athletically they look like a freight train....basketball play looks comical at times.
Yeah Calipari's replacement is letting them play like that on purpose, might be overdoing it though. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/coll...ry/2011-11-08/memphis-josh-pastner/51126304/1
Finally back in town after a crazy weekend in New Orleans. Fucking crazy weekend. Well my overrated teams got exposed a bit since I've been gone. Duke got manhandled by easily the best in the College Basketball this year. UNC got beat rather easily to a good UNLV team. Looking at the small schools the last week Long BEach State - very good news they keep losing. hopefully will get good numbers in conference play Indiana State - looked very good this past week. Just couldn't hang on with Minnesota. Also beat another good small school in Fairfield Saint Louis - Last night was a perfect spot for a let down and that happened. Loyola Marymount is a decent team. UC Santa Barbara - was hoping for like a 6 point dog tonight against UNLV. Won't surprise me to see them win.
Yeah, the Billikens thought they were going up against Loyola Maryland, not Loyola Marymount. So lucky they have Majerus for a coach there though. Think they could be a 2 possibly 3 win team in the NCAA Tournament?
Bama not underrated. They have athletes but have to shoot great to win. Kentucky - OSU in the natty Kansas UNC look to be final 4 teams. Wouldn't be surprised to see 3-4 small schools go deep in the tourney again. Couple little california schools can ball
Boise is ridiculous at home. If line is anywhere near 5-7 against Indiana St on Saturday I am going to jump all over it
