I'm skeptical about the prospects of a show that's going to be exclusive to a streaming service that currently few people even know exists. Will watch no matter what, though.
That shit plus commercials for awful cbs shows was the worst hour of television I think I've ever watched
season 1 of all the modern treks has been somewhere between mediocre and bad, so my expectations weren't high. there was corny dialogue but that's star trek. i could have done without the michael bay camera stuff. having a first officer that bickers with other crew members is not very trek-ish so hopefully that changes
i also did not realize how laughably bad broadcast television has become. NCIS, a Big Bang Theory spinoff, and that Jeremy Piven cyber drama
I laughed pretty hard at the thought of Jeremy Piven being the hero of Entourage fans doing that incredibly lame show
here's maybe the biggest in history: the temperature in space was given in celsius. star trek has always used kelvin.
True. I thought it was almost purposefully hokey at first, but I think it's just a half assed cash grab. I don't see much hope for improvement.
episode 2 was decent. the show has potential but the vibe seems to be closer to the new trek movies than the tv shows.
I'll probably do the trial once most of the episodes are out. I finally finished Voyager after putting it off for a long time. I got pretty invested near the end, but fuck that series finale. Just a giant middle finger to the fans.
I mean it has the shows name but it's not like the Star Trek I enjoy. Don't get me wrong it's not a bad show but when I think of Star Trek this isn't what I think about at all
i think i was like 12 when it first finished so i didn't have that type of disappointment. rewatching it later more recently, voyager gets destroyed and comes back so many times i was just kind of used to it by then.
