http://www.sbrforum.com/betting-odds/college-football/ Was hoping Stanford was single digits around 7. opened at 10 Probably gonna end up taking UGA +8 Can FSU beat anyone by 13? I think they may blow out GT. Braska also looks pretty good at -3
hamsterdam and other resident Longhorns tell me about the injuries for you guys going into the weekend and what is the outlook for who will be playing vs. KSU
starting qb david ash is questionable with rib injury. mack already said case mccoy will start. case is terrible. he is liable for at least 2 picks. gets happy feet the second he feels an ounce of pressure and has a rag arm. lost starting LB demarco cobbs (who sucks, mind you) last week for season. replaced him with freshman tevin jackson who played lights out. probably lean kansas st and under. we held kansas state to 13 pts last year. i think that our DC diaz is in his comfort zone against sec-type offenses. and i don't see how we score more than 17 pts.
i mentioned cobbs. okafor is questionable. cedric reed and reggie wilson filled in for okafor and did very well. wouldn't worry about them.
Very interested to see if it gets to 6.5. Bama better pepper that anus. Probably play the over if it does.
UGA or no play for me. Have bet against bama 1 time in 3 years = Cam's visit to TTown. Learned my lesson in 2009
Georgia, all day errr day. Do not understand the UCLA play. I think sharp guys are being hipster on this one, for the sake of being different.
copy pasta from another gambling board from the resident longhorn guy Totally agree with this. McCoy is horrible at QB. K-State has Texas' number and they will make a statement this weekend. Mack and Harsin have been butting heads over Ash and McCoy (Harson can't stand McCoy). There was a fight in the locker room after the TCU game. Rumors going around about Harsin puttin out his resume. The RB Malcolm Brown is going to transfer. Lots of stuff going on behind the scenes about Mack being forced out by the board of regents, etc, etc. KSU will SMOKE Texas this weekend. Max play for me on K-State.
LOL that guy is a facking idiot. - the rumor is freshman DT malcom brown is transferring - no truth to harsin hating mccoy...is this guy fucking serious? - there is plenty of smoke about mack being forced out. i would play this game on the merits, that texas offense will be potent-less without ash. that would lead me to the under, after our Ds showing last year against K State. i think you are looking at something like 20something to the teens.
I actually love the Under now that you mention it. Watched the entire game last year because I had Texas as the 4th team in a large parlay (line was "too high"/trap/fuck) and neither team is really an offensive powerhouse this year. should be a similar game to the TCU-UT game
wat? If I wasn't a Texas fan, I'd play K-State anything under 13. The TCU game was not as close as the score indicated. They kicked our ass up and down the field and weren't forced to have their RS Freshman QB throw (kid only threw the ball 9 times). K State should come out and smoke us. Bill Snyder team, coming off a bye week that was led into with a loss that cost them a shot at the natty. They're gonna come out to prove a point. Ash is not likely to play, so Case McCoy will start. Case is terrible. Fucking. Terrible. The coaches won't trust his noodle arm. Game will probably be in the 40s, more reason not to let him throw. Our back up QB for the game is our fucking punter. We're going to have to rely on our running game, but our OL can't get any sort of meaningful push against a defensive front worth a shit, see: Oklahoma. Our defense is just plain bad. Hubert will probably have a career day and Klein should kill it as well. I get what hamsterdam is saying, and we did play them really well last year, but we also had 3 different LBs (2 graduated, 1 that is injured) and Kheeston Randall at DT. We cannot stop the run to save our lives this year and K State shouldn't have to throw the ball more than 12 times, unless Snyder decides to get arrogant.
Locked in: Braska -150 FSU -13.5 -120 KSU/UT Under 63.5 waiting on Stanford line to drop a little more. Don't wanna buy it to -6.5 for -165. I don't see why people think UCLA will fare better on the road... That's not gonna make their offense less one-dimensional. If anything it will lead to more confusion and more sacks than the last 7-sack meeting.
interesting stat i saw for SECCG. bama gonna need to pressure murray to stop that offense bama defensive sacks and qb hurries in 20012 home -- 7 games --30 hurries/19 sacks= 7 pg away/ neutral -- 5 games -- 7 hurries/11 sacks = 3.6 pg
It's probably pretty even if you take out the cupcake ooc games which were all at home (western kentucky, west carolina, and florida atlantic)
I don't think you can tell anything from that stat after looking at their schedule. their 3.6 A/N sacks/hurries came mostly against arky, mizzou, michy and mizzou. all of them looked like cupcakes at the time they fell on bama's schedule. only real team they played at home was ATM. need to see how many sacks/hurries they had against LSU, ATM and I guess OMiss vs. everyone else
[HOMER FAN] Game is about who has the most overrated defense. One is living off their coaches name and the other off their NFL potential. Neither have been impressive against teams with similar talent. Bama won't be able to pressure Murray and Georgia won't be able to stop Bama from running the ball without loading the box. Bama's nose is weak and gets pushed around by a good center/guard. Main reason Manzel put up 21 in the first 10 min imo. Saban doesn't have the nose play he's had the past 3 or 4 years. Georgia should have a good dline on paper but I see teams run all over them so somethings weak. Pass rush is pretty mediocre also. I think Georgia will bring guys down and make chest tat beat them. Hot quarterback wins. Both are going to get time and have guys open. OR 1st team to 3 turnovers.
agree game is 100% about QB play which is why I'm fairly certain that unless i get drunk and stupid I'm not betting on it at all.
This seems really objective and reasonable. One of the first times on TMB I have seen a Bama fan be critical of their team.
Anybody playing the Louisville/Rutgers game tmr night? Planning on taking part of the night off from studying, so I'd like to play it to have some entertainment to drink a few beers to. I have an extremely slight lean on towards Louisville, but am open to playing Rutgers/taking whoever the TMB degenerates predominantly side with. I'm a broke law student, so I can't afford to bet a lot of money anymore. A loss doesn't cost me more than a few six packs or cans of dap, nbd. Throw out your slightest leans and I'll take them into account, doesn't matter to me whether or not you're playing the game. Hopefully TMB can collectively earn me a couple extra cans of mouth cancer and/or liver disease.
No idea on te sides but heard bridgewater looked hurt at the end of last game. Didn't watch it myself but maybe someone can confirm/deny this and his status
I watched it. He broke his left wrist early in the game but came back. Then he hurt his knee but his coach said he should be fine. With that said i took the Rutgers D
i caught some of the rutgers game last week and watch their QB get hurt. did he ever come back? nevermind...he never missed a series
Check out my complete, position by position write-up of the SEC Championship. I'll be attending the game and will have a follow-up post next week: SEC Championship Also, I did a write up of all the other conference championship games and made my picks as well. Check them out here: Conference Championships Hope y'all enjoy the posts. Go Dawgs!
My numbers have Rutgers to win 7. BCS trip on the line at home, I see them winning this big. They have a Top 10 Rush Defense that will shut down Louisville. Making a QB that has a broken non throwing wrist make plays. Jawan Jamison will get yards today against a sub par Rush defense and not put the game in Gary Novas hands. Favorite is 5-0 last 5 between these teams and Home team is 5-2 Last 7.
I don't get the hype on Bridgewater in the first place. Every time I watch him he's making no reads tossing it to his 1st option whether hes covered or not. Also throws some wild balls. For every 3 pretty balls I see him throw there's a duck. I don't know if Rutgers will move the ball well but I think they'll be playing from great field position all night.
