Heres the reverse line games ive noticed on sportsbook... Ohio State opened at -12.5 over Michigan...now its at -11.5 with 70% of the public on Ohio State. Temple opened at -13.5 over Kent...now its at -10.5 with 86% on Temple. Ole Miss opened at -3.5 over LSU....now its at -4.5 with over 75% on LSU. MTSU opened at -11.5 over Ark St...now its at -10 with 91% on MTSU.
The ole miss game is a hard game to pick. While Ole miss had a great game against Tenn they were overwhelmed by an Auburn team that LSU had no trouble picking apart. It will be interesting to see if Ole Miss can put up points against LSU's D which is also a whole lot better than Tennessees. The most important part of the game will be whether or not Jefferson plays like he has in some big games this year. If he plays 100% then there is no way Ole miss will cover.
Don't waste your time trying to figure out what player X (insert inconsistent 20-year old here) will do and how X (insert inconsistent 21-year old) will react. What you need to know is that the public has loaded up on a ranked LSU team with a line that looks too good to be true. The linesmakers are happy to receive this action and have adjusted the line to promote more LSU action. Know that Vegas doesn't give out gifts. Know that when the public backs a road underdog, they lose. Know that when an unranked team is a favorite over a ranked team, the unranked team is the pick. This game has been played thousands of times over the years. Different players, different names, but the same situation. Vegas has the data on this, you don't. They like Ole Miss and want you to like LSU. Ole Miss. Take them. The fact that it doesn't look like you should take them should make you even more confident in taking them.
Ive been looking for this OleMiss game since Bama played them around wk6. OM front 7 on D is legit. OM has a good run game. Houston Nutt loves to play Lsu, especially now that LesMiles is coaching there. OM waxed this team at their place last year. I think Ole Miss is the better team. Lsu also had a lot of injuries against Bama a few weeks ago Things that worry me are Lsu's 3or4 big receivers going against an OM secondary that gets out of position more than they should and OM being stupid and beating themselves w/ the tovers, fmbles, pen. kind of stuff. Im also playing that ArkSt. game.
So reverse line movements went 1-4 this past week in college football (Central Michigan was another one that wasn't listed in this thread because the game had already been played). Not a good week for the people who bet those.
