Officiating should be nationalized with a public review of accuracy. Officials assigned at random with preference given to accuracy, finishing a season below 95% gets you tossed. Active monitoring for all officials and known associates on all betting apps. Full financial audits yearly.

I know we’re all focused on the latest shitfest but again everyone should be reminded that Tim Donaghy was literally proven to have been fixing NBA games and the nba did nothing about it. Donaghy was making over 100 calls a month to other officials (scott foster mainly) and nobody else but donaghy was punished

 

It’d be really cool if the best college officials don’t leave for field positions in the NFL. Make it prestigious to be a top official in college.

 

allowing conferences to have their own officials is absolutely mind boggling. How in the fuck could you ever expect to get fair treatment from someone whos family could be out on the street if they make a call in your favor

 

Florida’s only TD against FSU last year was in large part because of a call that was used as an example of what NOT to call wrt personal fouls (late hit).

Like people in an officiating seminar were laughing at this call and the moderator literally said “I don’t know what this guy saw.”
