That’s no different than Sanders saying he was going to win the Heisman as a freshman.
He said he wants to win the Heisman. Big difference.
Did he say he’d win it his freshman year or just that he was going to win it?
I think bammer was being sarcastic but hard to tell
That's my point
I never said I was glad he didn't commit to us. Just said he looked like he could be difficult.
Tweet was deleted. What did it say?
That he thinks he's better than Von Miller.
ESPN updated their '20 rankings the final time until their senior year starts. 9/10 of our commits are in the top ~200. Braswell is 9th overall, and small town boy Jah-Marien Latham is second in the state now at #46 in the country, only behind Jones who is #43.
Caden Clark is #164. Clearly was too athletic to play in the B1G
He would have to have his ego toned down, but I believe he would have helped us this year and been a vocal leader by his sophomore year. Huge miss.
I mean as long as they aren't endorsing hitting women or saying bigoted shit I really don't care what these kids say on twitter. It truly couldn't matter less.
Nice. I was wondering what would happen with Latham in the 1st update. Hell of a Bama Bump.
Give me huge ego guys with his skill set all day everyday. Yall forgot about Dre K?
Big man's got some explosion to him, just playing against midgets. Didn't expect top 50 off the bat but I could see him being the top in-state guy at the end.
The fact that we never got a Dre K pick 6 is one of my biggest disappointments as a Bama fan. Would have loved to see that celebration and the postgame interview
The knock on Latham is the same as OJ, so it’s most definitely unjustified. Also, Jayson Jones is going to end up a 5 star.
Dude is a stud. Him making Webb his bitch in those 1 on 1 drills was a sight to behold
Which position is Kristian Story expected to play? And what’s the deal with this Reggie Grimes OLB? 7 crystal balls for us already.
Please everyone don't show Jules this post, he'll come in here and tell another player to shut up and tackle.
Dre Kirk, one day after a game his freshman year, was hanging outside of the athletic dorms with a large crowd of players and their friends, trunks popped, parking lot party. A friend walked by, Dre with a double cup and blunt, and said "Careful Dre, Saban will come get you." Dre thoughtfully and eloquently responded "Maaaaaan, FUCK Coach Saban. IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!"
If a man can’t enjoy a cup of lean and a blunt on his birthday then what is America
Preaching to the choir brother.
Here for all the Dre stories
Reggie Grimes is Reggie Grimes’ son.
Lol. Not quite as big as his dad, huh.
You'll have to forgive Clown Baby .... he was walking around in Quincy Carter jerseys at that time
I was only 3 in 1999, dude
Dude it was oh so close to him having a touchdown on that fake punt on our first drive of the national championship game in 2009. If the punter puts that ball on the money, he starts high stepping at the 40
His TD in the 1999 SECCG where he leapt into the wall and got about 2 inches off the ground is one of my underrated favorite Bama memories.
If he completed it he would’ve had more passing yard than Greg.
Lunardi has us as an 11 in his latest bracketology.
So google is showing a Raising Cane's in Tuscaloosa. It appears to be tucked in a dorm or something. Is it a place I can actually go?
Be nice to avoid the 8/9 matchup this year to potentially get a little run going in the tourney
What are Tide's biggest needs in 2020?
The Crimson Tide hit on several needs in its 2019 recruiting class to add both depth and, in some cases, potential immediate impact to its roster heading into the fall.
Here, BamaOnLine takes a look at some of the biggest needs as we turn our entire focus over to the 2020 class and beyond.
Alabama signed the top receivers class in 2017, headlined by Jerry Jeudy, DeVonta Smith and Henry Ruggs III. All three will likely have 2020 NFL Draft decisions to make next offseason. Couple that with the Crimson Tide opting to sign only one receiver in the 2019 recruiting cycle after signing just two in 2018, the position becomes an important need in 2020. And it’s a good cycle for receivers. Nick Sabanand staff already have two of the top wideouts in the South committed in Dazalin Worsham and Javon Baker, but the staff won’t stop there. Other important names to keep an eye on early include 5-star Julian Fleming, 4-stars J.J. Evans, Jermaine Burton, Rakim Jarrett, Eddie Williams, and 3-star Xzavier Henderson, to name a few.
Linebacker in general will be a need both on the inside and outside. Alabama will lose Terrell Lewis, Anfernee Jennings and Joshua McMillon from its linebacking corps, and could potentially see Dylan Moses go pro. The Tide added several talented linebackers in 2019 in Kevin Harris, King Mwikuta, Shane Lee and Christian Harris, three of which are already on campus with the team. Alabama already has an important commitment from 4-star inside ‘backer Jackson Bratton from Muscle Shoals as well as 5-star edge rusher Chris Braswellout of Maryland. Other important names in the early going include 5-star do-it-all Tide legacy Reggie Grimes, 5-star inside ‘backers Justin Flowe and Antoine Sampah, 5-star outside ‘backers Mekhail Sherman and Sav'ell Smalls and 4-star Birmingham native Quandarrius Robinson.
This of course could be predicated upon what happens via the transfer portal this offseason, something Nick Saban said was a possibility they looked into at the tight end position. But with Kedrick James’ status still up in the air, Alabama doesn’t have a whole lot of depth at the position. The Tide already has one important commitment from Ohio native Caden Clark, but expect UA to continue going after more 2020 tight ends. Only four offers have been extended thus far with Clark being one of them. Another intriguing name to keep an eye on that Jeff Banks visited recently is 5-star Las Vegas product Darnell Washington, the No. 1 tight end in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Our OLB class in 20 is going to be sick, but I’m not going to feel good about any of the elite ILB until we actually close with one of them.
When is the last time we actually won at Vandy? They aren’t good this year. This is a must win game tonight correct? I could see us losing this.
I just googled this and it looks like it’s in Paty. I think you’d be fine popping in there.
Didn’t Allen practice with ILBs at some point? Wonder if he might get a look there this spring for cross-training/depth.
If there was a raising canes in paty while I was in school I would weigh 350lbs

Worth the read and accurate.

“a time and place in the history of the sport where Alabama can book championship appearances every other year on the calendar without being overly presumptive.”
Try every year, goobers
I like the idea of that. Getting as many pass rushing specialists/athletes on the field: Lewis, Allen/Kaho, Moses, Jennings.
Would help a lot in the middle if Benton could step it up a notch. Haven’t heard much from him.
