3 to be exact.
My high school played Westbrook Christian every year for many years. I was a freshman when Brodie was a senior and tore his ACL in his first game, so I never actually played against him. But I’ll never forget warming up pregame when we played them at the end of the season and watching him. He was standing flat-footed and feet together at the 40 on their side of the field, and by just rotating his shoulders he was firing frozen ropes to a receiver at the goal line. That certainly was not a 1A arm.
Brodie is the fuckin' man
Shane Lee broken foot rumors....
edit: don’t see it on any board but some assholes texted me that
Please God no
Were they serious or messing with you
If he knew he probably wouldn’t be putting it here
Still unconfirmed. Sorry, I was just hoping somebody here could dispell.
Pretty cool if you guys haven’t seen it.
You need to break that guy’s foot
Well what I meant was I have friends with the propensity to say things to get a rise out of me that could very well be true but absolutely aren’t. They just want to mess with me. Is it those kind of folks or dudes you trust.
Pike pledge time
Nick Saban opens up about life after football, the “monster” in his closet, and the aftereffects of his most bruising defeat. The Athletic’s exclusive series takes you inside the gold standard of college football with rare behind-the-scenes access to Alabama. Correspondent: Armen Keteyian Producer: Brian Hyland
Don’t see anything anywhere so I’m going to choose to believe it’s false and enjoy my evening. Sorry.
Here is what we’re hearing on Alfano....
I know there has been a lot of questions surrounding the five star from the class of 2019 that hasn’t been at practice in days and wasn’t in attendance this past weekend as Alabama hosted NMSU.
Saban said it’s a disciplinary issue. We’re hearing Alfano is very close to making a decision to transfer (playing time and the heat in Tuscaloosa being driving factors) and that Saban wants him to stay.
No question, he’s a long way from playing this season, but the coaches do like what he brings to the table.
I understand that a lot of stuff is out there, but nothing is concrete and this is something that we are tracking. If Alfano decides to transfer or comes back to practice, we’ll bring that info right here to the premium subscribers.
Seems like Leonard is owed some apologies
(playing time and the heat in Tuscaloosa being driving factors)
He wants to transfer because it’s hot?
Even by Gen Z standards that’s a gigantic pussy.
It’s Alabama, what was he expecting?
Ain’t no heat like that T Town heat though.
No one cares but I was 150' below sea level in Brawley, CA yesterday and I beg to differ
Alfano can take his sweaty, saggy labia somewhere else if he's that soft. Dale is the Alfano that was promised.
South Louisiana is the hottest
Two sides of the same miserable coin
“Shane Lee was reportedly practicing with the team yesterday. The rumor of his injury actually came out before the 4:00 afternoon practice.”
So we can put that to bed.
I know I said no more politics but our university is pissing me off
Probably shouldn't have said "I love it." but he probably shouldn't lose his job either. Didn't have control of the classroom in that moment that's for sure. A little counselling and be done with it.
Letting students shotgun beer is racist
Who the hell shotguns a Mich Ultra other than a racist
Zero fun, sir.
Still, I suppose they feel a 400-level course needs to be a bit more controlled, and the video could make the university look bad if a primary concern is the appearance of academic rigor.
Cliffs: neutral dog
Screwed over the students who wanted to take a class with a good instructor, screws over the instructor who was trying to avoid an awkward/tense situation at the beginning of the semester. I know it's the business school so everyone has a stick up their ass but who really wins here? Slap him on the wrist, move on, and no one would even know it happened.
I imagine the latter is how it goes without the presence of the video. University overreacted probably to avoid possibility of being plastered on the news networks for lax environment.
C'mon man, "kid shotguns beer in a college class" isn't news. I know they're trying to control their image, but this just how you make a mountain out of a molehill. Maybe they should invest in the public relations program a little more.
Maybe they were worried about another alt-right site running with the story
Probably a bigger story that he wasn't a student and the instructor saw him and didnt say anything other really than "love it". I never saw anyone drink a beer let alone shotgun one in any class. Drink from a cup, sure but just open a beer right there in class.
The instructor definitely didn't handle it properly. But dealing with this shit when you're teaching sucks. I know I had randoms in my labs sometimes. Questioning them is awkward, distracting, and you're very limited in what you can actually do to remove them(ask them to leave, if they don't you call UAPD). I never had anyone be a complete asshat like this, but it really is annoying to deal with without losing the class. That's why I feel more sympathetic to this guy.
What is the professor supposed to do in that situation? Turn into a security guard and try to detain the guy? He deescalated the situation reasonably. Business school can fuck off.
Streisand effect in full swing
Business school is for chumps, anyway.
I’ve taken the LSAT and the GMAT with intention of attending both business school and law school....backed out of both
What the hell is he supposed to do in that situation anyway? If anything, breezing past it with a joke/sarcasm just downplays it and lets him get back to teaching.
Coming up for the game next weekend. With the early kickoff I'm wondering where the best breakfast is in Tuscaloosa? Thanks in advance.
The Waysider. But be prepared to wait.
Waysider or Rama Jama’s if you want something close to the stadium/tailgating
Always loved Rama Jama’s breakfast, I’m biased because I lived like 150 yards from it in college. Easy and lines weren’t too bad for breakfast
Rama Jama's right by the stadium is a classic. Get there early enough and it shouldn't be THAT busy.
Damn looks like Fleming has worked his ass off. I bet he’s lost 40-50 pounds
